Characteristics: shrub, middle leaf, mesophytic species. The plant is of medium size, the tree posture is half-open, the branches are still dense, and the leaves are planted horizontally. The leaves are obovoid, dark green, flat, blunt, thick and soft. The period of one bud and three leaves in early April and the mining period of oolong tea are from the end of April to the beginning of May. The bud leaf is fertile, the bud leaf is lavender green, the pilose hair is few, the 100 buds weigh 60.0 grams, the tenderness is strong. The dry sample of spring tea contains 2.6% amino acids, 23.4% tea polyphenols and 3.0% caffeine. Suitable for making oolong tea. Strong cold resistance.
Output performance: the quality comparison test from 1984 to 1991 was 11.2% and 148.4% higher than that of Huang Jingui and Tieguanyin, respectively. The yield of fresh leaves per mu in Raoping County, Guangdong Province is 163.2 kg per mu in the third year after planting, which is 75.1 to 173.6% higher than that of Tieguanyin. During the national regional trial from 1997 to 2001, it was 13.96% and 71.90% higher than Fuding Dabai tea, 6.94% lower in Yingde point and 215.72% higher in Changsha.

Variety registration number: national examination tea 980001. Variety source: selected from the large-leaf population in Yichang by single plant. Characteristics: spring tea sprouted earlier than Fuding Dabai tea, 2 days earlier than Fuding white tea; the original bud grew vigorously, and the harvest period of spring tea was about 5 days earlier than Fuding Chinese cabbage. Suitable for making black tea, the quality is better than that of Chu Ye Qi.
