Rapid growth of Pleurotus ostreatus in bags

Last Updated: 2024/11/03, The mycelium of Pleurotus ostreatus usually takes 25-30 days to fill the bag after inoculation. The longer the inoculation time, the more chances of infection of miscellaneous bacteria, and the longer the production cycle. A simple and rapid method of producing bacteria is introduced below, which can significantly shorten the time of producing bacteria, reduce the pollution of miscellaneous bacteria, speed up the emergence of mushrooms and shorten the production cycle. After the culture material (clinker) is bagged, it is inoculated at both ends. At both ends of the bag, use a sharp rod (2-3 cm in diameter and about 30 cm in length) to drill holes in the center of the bag head, with a depth of more than half of the bag, and then insert an appropriate amount of bacteria into the hole.

At both ends of the bag, use a sharp rod (2-3 cm in diameter and about 30 cm in length) to drill holes in the center of the bag head, with a depth of more than half of the bag head, then insert an appropriate amount of bacteria into the hole, put a small amount of bacteria on the material surface of the bag head, wrap the collar and tighten the bag mouth, seal it with a layer of paper and a rubber band, and then connect the other end in the same way. The bacteria should be arranged according to the air temperature. when the temperature is high, the bags will be arranged in a well-shaped stack, 4 bags in each layer, and the double layer will be discharged in the opposite direction, 5-6 layers per stack, leaving a certain gap between the stack and the stack in order to dissipate heat; at medium temperature, the bag will be arranged into a well-shaped stack, each with 6-7 layers, with appropriate gaps between the two; at low temperature, the bags will be arranged into a stacking wall, which is about 10 layers high, and the gap between the walls should also be left. The general principle is: to control the temperature at 25-30 ℃, too low temperature will prolong the time, too high temperature will burn out the hyphae. After inoculation, with the growth of mycelium, the material bag itself will be hot, so it should be stacked in about 1 week to check the bacteria and remove the contaminated bag. According to this method of inoculation, the mycelium will be full in 10-15 days, which is half the time of inoculation than the traditional method, and the process is simple and easy to operate.
