Bulb soft rot of lily
The disease occurs in the process of storage and transportation of lily bulbs.
Symptoms: at the initial stage of the disease, the susceptible scales produce water-stained spots, then turn dark brown, and the bulbs soften and rot. In the later stage of the disease, a thick mildew layer grows on the surface of the disease spot, and many sporangia that are white first and then turn black are produced in the mold layer.
The pathogen is Rhizopusstolonifer (Ehrenb.exFr.) Vuill. And Rhizopus nigricans (R.nigricannsEhrenb.), belonging to Zygophyta, Zygomycetes, Mucor, Rhizopus fungi.
Disease regularity: pathogens widely exist in nature, with cyst spores invading plant scales from the wound, forming mycelium in the plant, the mycelium can reach the base of the scale, and then invade other scales. In the warm, humid and poorly ventilated storage and transportation environment, the disease spread rapidly and the bulbs rotted quickly. The pathogen has weak parasitism and strong pathogenicity, which can lead to the decay of many succulent vegetables, fruits and storage organs.
Prevention and treatment: avoid causing wounds in the process of harvest, packaging, storage and transportation, and keep low temperature in the process of storage and transportation.

Penicillium rot of Lilium bulb
The disease occurs in the process of storage and transportation of lily bulbs. Symptoms: in the early stage of the disease, dark brown disease spots and sunken spots are produced on the injured scales. After that, the disease gradually spread inward, resulting in slow dry rot of the bulb, which took several weeks to rot away. In the later stage of the disease, the disease produced cyan mildew, which were the conidiophores and conidia of the pathogen. The pathogen is Penicillium circularum (PenicilliumcyclopiumWestl.) And Penicillium bungeanum (P.C)
