Last Updated: 2024/11/09, In order to make garlic high quality, high yield and early listing, it is necessary to do a good job in the following four hurdles: sprouting: garlic seeds after harvest are dormant within a certain period of time. Therefore, 10 days before planting, the selected garlic should be planted in a cool place and covered with fine sand or loess. Soak in well water for 12 hours before sowing. In this way, it can not only sprout 2-3 days in advance, but also grow neatly and sturdily. Soil preparation: garlic likes wet sandy soil, and other loess and clay can be planted as long as they are broken.

In order to make garlic high quality, high yield and early listing, we must do a good job in the following four hurdles:

Promoting budding pass: the garlic species after harvest is dormant for a certain period of time.

Furrows are preferably east-west, with a length of about 10 meters, a width of 1.2 meters, a ditch width of 8-9 inches, 30 piculs of farm manure per mu, and less than 3 inches of human soil with an iron rake.

Sowing: garlic can be divided into white skin and red skin. Red bark seeds can be sown in early August and white bark seeds can be sown in late August. In order to prevent garlic leaves from squeezing each other out and blocking the light when they grow up, when sowing seeds in the ground, each seed should be arranged in the same direction. A 1.2-meter-long bamboo slice can be used as the alignment of pan seeds, so that the plane of garlic is parallel to the bamboo slices, and the spherical surface goes south or north. Insert one grain every 1.5-2 inches. The insertion depth is slightly lower than that of the border. The line spacing is 3 inches. The garlic seeds between rows are triangular, then covered with thatch or straw for shade and water conservation. Finally, sprinkle the fine soil from clearing the ditch on the grass on the border to prevent the grass from being blown away by the wind, and it should be irrigated that night to infiltrate, so that the germination and growth can be smooth.

Topdressing: garlic seedlings grow 2-3.21 leaves, if the growth is not good, you can use 1% urea water line by line, do not splash.
