Characteristics and cultivation points of a New glutinous Rice Variety Eyou 512 with High yield
Eyou 512 is an indica high-yielding glutinous rice bred in 1997 by using autotriploid SAR-3 with apomixis as female parent and mixed pollen as male parent. The F1 hybrids were separated, and some of the F2 lines were stable and consistent, and the superior lines were bred in F3 generation. It was examined and approved by Sichuan crop Variety approval Committee in 2002, and now it has been widely used in Sichuan Province, and the yield per mu has reached more than 500kg level.
1 main characteristics
The average yield of 469.8kg per mu was 4.50% higher than that of the control (Jingnuo 6) and reached a significant level. In 2001, production experiments were carried out in different ecological regions of Sichuan Province. The average yield per mu was 510.20kg, which was 7.80% higher than that of the control, and the annual highest yield per mu reached 639.5kg.

2 cultivation and management
E you 512 is a middle and late mature waxy rice variety with compact plant type and strong lodging resistance. Reasonable cultivation techniques should be adopted in production to achieve the purpose of high yield.

2.4 Integrated control of diseases and insect pests is based on the combination of prevention and control. Pay attention to the control of rice blast, bacterial blight and borer. The control of rice blast is focused on tillering stage and break stage. The stem borer can be controlled at the peak of tillering and the stage of break. Pay attention to the prevention and control of sheath blight in the middle and later stages of growth.
