New glutinous Rice varieties newly approved in Jiangsu Province

Therefore, this plant is the first in the world. Huainuo No. 12, formerly known as "Huai 9702", was developed by Huaiyin Agricultural Science Research Institute of Xuhuai region, Jiangsu Province.

Huainuo No. 12, formerly known as "Huai 9702", was bred by Jiangsu Xuhuai region Huaiyin Agricultural Science Research Institute with 9516 / Huai 9508 in 2002. it is a late-maturing medium japonica waxy rice variety. It is suitable for planting under the condition of middle and high fertility in Yangqiu area of Suzhong and Ningzhen.

First, the yield level and characteristics. In the regional trial of Jiangsu Province from 2005 to 2006, the average yield per mu in two years was 572.7 kg, which was 9.4% higher than that of Wuyujing 3, which was significantly higher than that of Wuyujing 3. In 2007, the average yield per mu was 584.2 kg, 15.7% higher than that of the control. The average results of the provincial regional test were as follows: effective panicle 217000 per mu, filled grains per panicle 110.7, seed setting rate 91.9%, 1000-grain weight 25.7g. The plant height is 98.9 cm, and the whole growth period is 149 days, which is 3-4 days earlier than that of the control.

The plant type is compact, the growth is prosperous, the panicle type is medium, the tillering ability is strong, the leaf color is dark green, the population uniformity is good, the late mature color is good, and the lodging resistance is strong; in inoculation identification, it is resistant to bacterial blight, panicle neck blast and highly susceptible sheath blight; the highest incidence of stripe blight was 19.7% in field planting identification from 2006 to 2007 (the average incidence rate of two years in susceptible control was 70.5%). Physical and chemical index of rice quality: according to the food quality testing center of the Ministry of Agriculture in 2006, the rate of head rice was 74.7%, the gel consistency was 100.0 mm, and the amylose content was 1.4%, which reached the national standard for high-quality glutinous rice.

2. Key points of cultivation techniques

1. Sowing at the right time and cultivating strong seedlings: generally sowing in the first and middle of May, the net sowing amount of wet seedlings is about 20 kg per mu, the net board sowing rate of dry seedlings is 30-35 kg per mu, and the amount of seeds used in the field is 3-3.5 kg per mu.

2. Timely transplanting and reasonable close planting: transplanting in the first and middle of June, the seedling age is about 30 days, generally transplanting about 20000 holes per mu, and the basic seedling is about 70 000.

3. Scientific management of fertilizer and water: generally, 18-20 kg of pure nitrogen is applied per mu, and the ratio of basal tiller fertilizer to panicle fertilizer is 6:4. Basic fertilizer should be applied before soil preparation, and panicle fertilizer should be taken into account. In terms of water slurry management, planting seedlings in thin water, tillering in shallow water, heading and flowering in an inch of water, alternating between dry and wet in the later stage, shelving the field appropriately when the total number of tillers per mu reached 200000, the peak seedlings were controlled at about 280000 per mu, and the water was cut off 5-7 days before harvest.

4. control of diseases, insect pests and weeds: soaking seeds before sowing to prevent seed-borne diseases such as evil seedling disease and dry-tip nematode disease, pay attention to the control of gray planthopper and rice thrips in seedling and field stage, and comprehensively control sheath blight, stem borer, longitudinal leaf borer, rice planthopper in the middle and later stage.
