A New glutinous Rice Variety Shaonuo 97Mui 14

Last Updated: 2024/09/19, Shaonuo 97mur14 is the latest glutinous rice variety bred by Shaoxing Institute of Agricultural Sciences. It was approved by Zhejiang Province in April 2002. Participated in the provincial regional trials in 1999 and 2000, and the yield ranked first and second among the tested varieties. In 2000, our city introduced trial planting, planting 2.4 mu in a single season, with an average yield of 469 kg per mu, 3% higher than Zhejiang Agricultural University 454. In 2002, the variety comparison test of Shengzhou improved seed farm and large area showed that Shaonuo 97mur14 converted to 494 kg per mu, which was 14 kg higher than that of the control.

Shaonuo 97Mel 14 meters is of good quality, thick seeds, white rice and good waxy, reaching the second-class standard of high-quality rice issued by the Ministry. The whole growth period of continuous late growth is 132 days, which belongs to the type of middle maturity and late waxy. It is suitable for single cropping or continuous cropping late rice in plain and mountain areas of our city.

Key points of cultivation: ① suitable sowing time: sowing time of continuous cropping cultivation is around June 25, single cropping is planted in plain area, sowing date is in the first and middle of June. ② seed soaking and disinfection: seeds must be soaked and disinfected with good germicidal efficacy (such as "402", etc.) in order to effectively prevent the occurrence of rice evil seedling disease. ③ pest control: good control of rice thrips and bacterial blight in the seedling stage; as this variety is easy to be infected by panicle blast in the severe disease area or in the bad weather of low temperature and high humidity in the later stage, it is appropriate to apply appropriate nitrogen fertilizer, combined application of phosphorus and potassium fertilizer, shelving the field in time, promoting healthy growth, and spraying tricyclazole from the breaking stage to the full heading stage to prevent the occurrence of panicle blast. In addition, it is also necessary to do a good job in the prevention and control of diseases and insect pests such as sheath blight, rice lice and borer.
