Brief introduction of New late glutinous Rice Variety Zhenuo 36

Zhenuo 36 was approved by the 27th Variety approval meeting of Provincial Agricultural articles Review Committee in March 2003. In 2000, the average yield of this variety per mu in Jinhua City Regional Test was 483.1 kg, which was 14.7% higher than that of the control Xiushui 11, and the difference was extremely significant. In 2001, the average yield per mu in Jinhua City Regional Test was 470.5 kg, 5.97% higher than that of the control Xiushui 11, reaching a very significant level, with an average increase of 10.3% over the control in two years. The average growth period of two years was 128 days, which was similar to that of Xiushui 11. In the production experiment in 2001, the average yield per mu was 437.1 kg, which was 11.26% higher than that of Xiushui 11. In the two-year regional test, the average effective panicle per mu was 195600, the number of filled grains per panicle was 85, the seed setting rate was 93.0%, and the 1000-grain weight was 30.41g. It was identified by the Institute of Plant Protection of the Provincial Academy of Agricultural Sciences that it was susceptible to rice blast and bacterial blight. According to the analysis of the quality Supervision, Inspection and Test Center of the Ministry of Agriculture, the eight indexes of brown rice rate, milled rice rate, head rice rate, grain length, ratio of length to width, alkali elimination value, gel consistency and protein content reached the first grade standard of high quality rice. Amylose content index reached the second grade standard of high quality rice. The variety belongs to semi-dwarf type, compact plant type, medium-weak tiller, large panicle, high 1000-grain weight, good rice quality, rice blast resistance is better than the control, bacterial blight resistance is basically similar to the control. It is suitable for planting in Jinhua, Zhoushan and similar ecological areas, and attention should be paid to the control of rice blast in cultivation.
