The optimum protein level of fish feed

Last Updated: 2024/09/16, Protein is the main nutritional index of compound feed for fish. the level of protein directly affects the internal quality of fish feed. The optimal protein requirements of different fish species and growth stages are also different. Too high protein content will not only cause a waste of feed protein resources, but also increase the pressure on pond water quality management. If the protein content is too low, it will cause slow growth and poor disease resistance of fish on the one hand, and delay production on the other hand. Therefore, mastering the optimal protein level of fish feed is very important to guide fishery production.

Therefore, mastering the optimal protein level of fish feed is of great benefit to guide fishery production.

1. Carp feed. Carp is the most common farmed fish in our province, and carp feed accounts for more than 90% of the total fish feed production in our province. The optimum protein content of feed in seedling stage, fish fry stage and adult stage is 40%-45%, 35%-40% and 30%-35%, respectively.

two。 Grass carp feed. With the promotion of grass carp immune injection technology, grass carp culture in our province is also gradually accepted by the majority of farmers. The optimum protein content of grass carp fry stage is 30%, and the optimum protein content of adult stage feed is 22%-25%.

3. Feed for blunt snout snout bream. Blunt snout bream, also known as Wuchang fish, its nutritional requirements are similar to those of grass carp. The optimum protein content of the feed in the fish fingerling stage is 25%-30%, and that in the adult stage is 22%-25%. 4. Tilapia feed. The fish is a hot water fish. Due to the short growth period, the optimum protein content for the whole growth process of the fish is 30%-31%. 5. Feed, feed, feed. The fish is a cold water fish. The optimum protein content of feed in fry stage is 45%, that in fry stage is 40%-45%, and that in adult stage is 30%-35%. 6. Spotted forktail fish back to feed. The optimum protein content of the feed in the fry stage is 35% to 40%, the optimum protein content in the fish fry stage is 30% to 35%, and the optimum protein content in the adult stage is 28% to 35%.
