At present, the best liver variety in the production of fatty liver abroad, originated in Landau province in western France, and now the amount of breeding in Hungary is also quite large. China introduced Lande geese from France twice in 1979 and 1986 respectively. The whole body feathers of the goose are grayish brown, the feathers on the neck and back are dark, close to black, the chest feathers are lighter and silver gray, and the belly feathers are milky white. Lande goose has a large body, wide back and deep chest, prolapse of abdomen, no obvious sarcoma in the head, tip and short beak, pharyngeal pouch in the upper neck, thick and short neck, and slightly curly neck feathers. When standing or walking, the body is almost parallel to the ground. Adult weight: 7kg for male geese and 6kg for female geese. It weighs about 4.5 kilograms at the age of 8 weeks. Egg laying: the annual egg production is about 40, and the average egg weight is 180g to 200g. Reproduction: male and female ratio 1 ∶ 3. The nesting sex is weak. Lande goose has a high down yield and is resistant to manual feathering. The breeder goose pulls down twice a year and can produce 350 to 450 grams of down. The liver function is good. According to the determination of filling and feeding after introduction in Shandong, the average fatty liver weight was more than 800g, the feed-to-liver ratio was 24 ∶ 1, and the body weight gain rate during the filling period was 6270%. But the texture of the fatty liver is not good. The disadvantage of Lande geese is that the male geese have poor breeding ability and poor semen quality, so the fertilization rate of breeding eggs is low, generally only 60% to 65%.
