Due to the high temperature and humidity in summer, broilers are easy to be infected with intractable diarrhea. In practice, the majority of chicken farmers have found out the incidence regularity and comprehensive prevention and control measures of stubborn diarrhea in broilers, which are introduced as follows:

Broiler

1. Main symptoms:

The spirit of the broiler is good, the death rate is normal, the feeding is normal, but the drinking water is increased, the feces are thin and watery, and the amount of solids is small, often containing undigested feed, sometimes with exfoliated intestinal mucosa, and the chicken house constantly hears the sound of "clatter". The sick chicken crown is white, the legs and claws are dry and dull, and in serious cases, the feathers are reversed, dispirited and motionless.

2. Changes in autopsy:

The intestinal tract is highly swollen, full of gas, the intestinal wall becomes brittle, the contents stink, there are black or yellowish water-like substances, mucosal necrosis and exfoliation, liver swelling and brittleness and even erosion, kidney swelling and shallower.

Third, etiological analysis:

Due to the high temperature in summer, the amount of drinking water of broilers increased by 2-4 times, resulting in physiological diarrhea; replacement of feed, immunity and other factors caused intestinal physiological dysfunction of broilers; in addition, the abuse of antibiotics was also the cause of refractory diarrhea in broilers. Although stubborn diarrhea will not cause the death of broilers, but the resistance of broilers in summer, the incidence of bacterial and viral secondary and mixed infection is high, and the growth of broilers is slow.

4. prevention and control measures:

1. Probiotics were added to broiler feed to maintain the balance of intestinal flora, promote digestion and absorption and improve feed conversion rate.

two。 Electrolytic multi-dimensional was added to broiler drinking water, and the amount of drinking water was controlled to 2/3 of the original.

3. 0.2-0.1% medicinal charcoal powder or 0.2% sodium humate was added to the feed.

4. In order to prevent secondary infection, antibiotics were added to the drinking water of broilers to control the abnormal reproduction of intestinal bacteria.

5. Cod liver oil is added to the feed to repair intestinal mucosa and enhance resistance.

6. For individual serious broilers, each chicken can take 2 tablets of lactase or rhubarb soda tablets on an empty stomach in the morning.
