Black chicken, a valuable medicinal chicken, is more and more favored by people. But black chicken has a single breed, strong nesting, poor vitality, low disease resistance, low survival rate and less egg production, which greatly affects the development of black chicken breeding. So, how can we improve the survival rate and laying rate of black chicken chicks? Practice has proved that in raising black chickens, attention should be paid to:

Black chicken

1. The digestive machine of the black chicken is weak, so it is necessary to feed the black chicken with digestible feed, such as half-cooked millet mixed with cooked egg yolk (1 per day for 18 chicks). After 10 days of age, you can add 10-20% corn flour, 8-10% chopped green fodder, 1-1.5% bone meal, 11.5% fish meal, 0.5% water washed fine sand. After 30 days of age, you can feed mixed chopped green vegetables powder, and add bone meal, fish meal, shell meal, etc., but also feed grains 1-2 times a day (such as millet, barley, millet, etc.).

2. In the first and second weeks after hatching, 0.04% dysentery was added to the feed every day to control paratyphoid fever and pullorum disease in black chickens. After 15 days of age, feed containing 0.01% of dysentery or 0.1% of the feed amount of sulfamethazine for processing days was fed daily, and then stopped for 1-2 days. After 45 days of age, attention should be paid to the prevention and control of chicken ascariasis. Chicken Newcastle disease vaccine can be vaccinated at 8, 25 and 66 days old. If sick chickens are found, they should be quarantined immediately. For the growth rate is different, the physical strength is uneven to carry on the group breeding.

3. Chicks should pay attention to heat preservation and moistureproof according to different growth and development periods, and keep the living environment fresh, bright and dry. The drinking water should be clean and sanitary, the trough and drinking fountain should be washed every day, and the hot solution of sodium hydroxide should be disinfected every half a month. The bedding grass should be changed frequently.

4. Hens should replenish light in winter and carry out careful feeding and management in order to lay more eggs. According to the experiment, extending the sunshine time to 13-14 hours in winter and supplying nutritious feed can increase the laying rate by 22%. The specific method is: from November to January, with a 15-60 watt light bulb, from 5 a.m. to 06:30, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., from 11:00 to 2 p.m., give light and replenishment. When replenishing the light, do not suddenly light and dim, so as not to cause panic among the chickens.

5. Give the nest chicken a wake up hug in time. Black chickens are easy to nest and take a long time, so we should pay attention to the timely "wake up hug". There are many ways to wake up, one of the easiest way is to feed Rendan, the effect is good. The specific approach is to find that the chickens in the nest should be fed about 15 Rendan in the morning and evening every day for 3-5 days. Then, an adequate supply of high-quality feed. In this way, egg laying can be resumed after 7-12 days.
