A New Variety of Pleurotus ostreatus with Three High Quality---"2001"
"2001" is a new variety of Pleurotus ostreatus, which was newly selected in 2002. It is proved by crystal ratio test and large-scale production that it has three outstanding characteristics of high resistance to yellow mushroom disease and leaf spot, high yield and high efficiency.
1. High resistance to yellow mushroom disease and leaf spot. "2001" is a wide-temperature type of Pleurotus ostreatus, the fruiting body is light to grayish white, and can produce mushrooms in the temperature range of 33 ℃. Large-scale production from early autumn to the end of spring, "2001" can be safe and sound in the areas where yellow mushroom disease and leaf spot disease occur, and produce mushrooms as usual, even when the final material bag is spongy.
2. Wide adaptability and high yield. "2001" has a strong ability to decompose lignin, cellulose and hemicellulose, and can grow well on rice straw, wheat straw, corncob, bean straw, broad-leaf sawdust, cottonseed hull and other culture materials, which fully shows its advantages of wide adaptability and high yield. The product comparison shows that the total yield of this variety is generally 18% and 30% higher than that of other varieties.

The wild Pleurotus ostreatus was collected many times by the Institute of Biological soil Desert of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the pure strain was obtained after tissue isolation. Fruiting body primordia solitary or tufted, young primordia white or light brown. The cap is 10-12 cm in diameter and 1-1.5 cm thick. The cap is white or light brown. The flesh is white, the stalk is 1.5-2.5 cm in diameter, 2-6 cm long, and the color is white. The spores are white or lavender. It has wide adaptability and high temperature resistance. It can produce mushrooms under the condition of 30 ℃, but it can also produce mushrooms normally under the condition of 8 ℃.
