Double variety plant is shorter, generally less than 40 cm, flat top type, flowering near the terminal bud is all flower buds, flowering from the top to the lower part of an one-time neat opening, flowering period of about 10 days.

Sowing and reproduction, when the temperature rises to more than 15 ℃ in early spring in the south, the seeds can be sown in the greenhouse at the end of spring and germinate quickly and neatly in the north of the Yangtze River. The seedling stage is about one month, and the seedling height is about three inches. The single-petal variety can be planted in the garden, with a row spacing of 30 × 40 cm, or potted, with 1 plant in a 7-inch receptacle. Double petal varieties are not suitable for planting in the garden because of their short flowering period, and are suitable for potted ornamental plants, with 3 plants per pot in a 7-inch receptacle. Impatiens is so warm, like wet, well-drained fertile soil, requires sufficient sunshine, sufficient water and fertilizer, drenching water 2-3 times a day in sunny days, topdressing once a week, no need to pick the heart, it takes 60-80 days from sowing to flowering, and the fruit dies after flowering. If you sow once a month, the south will have flowers from the beginning of May to the middle and late November, and the north will bloom from the beginning of July to the end of September, and you can't sow again 70 days before you die in winter, otherwise you will grow vigorously in the early stage and die if you can't blossom in the middle and later stages because of low temperature.

The ripening of impatiens is different, especially the varieties with single petal. The seeds should be collected in batches. When the olive-shaped fruit changes from turquoise to yellow and white, the olive-shaped fruit is clamped with fingers in the early morning and then harvested, otherwise, the fruit is easy to crack and the seeds can pop out 2 meters and disperse. After the seeds are dried in the sun, the germination rate can be kept for one year sealed and stored in the refrigerator for 3 years.

There are few diseases and insect pests in impatiens, and the common disease is powdery mildew. Chlorothalonil, trimethoprim or topiramate can be used as 800 times aqueous solution, once a week, three times in a row. The radical cure is to improve the environment. As long as there is plenty of sunshine and good ventilation, there will be no powdery mildew, while the shade and dampness are not ventilated and the foot is infected with the root cause.
