Prevention and control measures of silkworm poisoning

Mulberry trees with pesticide residues should be sprayed with 0.5% edible alkali water or 1% fresh lime water 1 to 2 days in advance, or mulberry leaves can be soaked in 1% edible alkali water or 1% fresh lime paste for 1 hour. It should be noted that the sprayer should be thoroughly cleaned and the edible lye or fresh lime water sprayed should be fully used (about 6-8 barrels per mu). If it is found that the silkworm has been poisoned, detoxification methods should be taken in time: immediately sprinkle Panax notoginseng ash or lime powder to make the silkworm stop immediately.

If it is organophosphorus pesticide poisoning, the poisoned silkworm shall be soaked in 5000 times atropine sulfate for 2 minutes, taken out and spread in a cool and ventilated place, and fed with 500 times atropine sulfate at the same time; if it is poisoned by nereid toxin, pyrethroid and other pesticides, it shall be fed with 500 times adrenaline hydrochloride; if it is poisoned by fipronil pesticide, the poisoned silkworm shall be soaked in cold water for 2 minutes, taken out and spread in a cool and ventilated place. In addition, in order to prevent silkworms from cocooning, 500 times atropine sulfate should be added 2 to 3 times during the five-instar feeding period.
