Xiufeng pear
Xiufeng pear is a new variety of very early maturing pear, which is characterized by early maturity, high quality, high price, good economic benefit, and can blossom and bear fruit many times in the middle of the year. Its unique biological characteristics are praised as "treasures in pears" by domestic famous fruit tree experts. In July 2002, it was identified by an expert group composed of experts from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and it was considered to be an early-maturing variety with early fruiting, high yield, large fruit and high quality.
This variety comes from a variant single plant of foreign pear. It was found in a 5-year-old pear orchard in 1993. While we observed the single plant in detail, we carried out the experiment of high branch grafting and off-site cultivation of big trees.
The main characteristics of this variety are as follows: the tree potential is weak, the tree posture is erect in the young tree stage, and the sprouting ability and branch forming ability are strong. The crown is open, the young trees are mainly medium and long fruit branches, the full fruit period is mainly medium and short fruit branches, axillary flower buds can bear fruit, and new shoots can blossom and bear fruit at any time in the process of growth. The seed setting rate of white flowers is high. The fruit is early, the newly planted young trees can blossom and bear fruit in the second year, the yield can reach 15kg in the third year, and the big trees can blossom and bear fruit in the same year after being replanted. The fruit is large, with an average single fruit weight of 198 grams and a maximum fruit of 600 grams; it matures early, and the first fruits can mature on the market in the first and middle of July, maturing 20 days earlier than ordinary pears. The listing period is long, in addition to the first batch of fruit to fill the vacancy in the early fruit market, the second and third batches of fruit also have high value. The market price is high, and the average local purchase price is 4 yuan per kilogram. The fruit surface is yellowish white, smooth and beautiful, the flesh is milky white, the meat is fine, juicy, the taste is fragrant, the core is small, the soluble solids is 15.4%, and the fruit can be stored for 25 days at room temperature. Strong resistance to pear scab, pear planthopper, aphids and leaf blight.
The main cultivation technique of this variety is ① density. 3 meters x 4 meters, 2 meters x 4 meters. It can also be planted with 1m x 2m, 2m x 2m or double-row encryption. It doesn't deserve pollination trees. ② plastic surgery and pruning. The tree shape adopts small crown sparse layer shape, and the dense planting garden can adopt free spindle shape.
