The time to remove the bag should be determined according to the variety and climatic conditions. In order to prevent obvious fruit spots, sunburn, water loss, fruit pollution and bruises on the fruit surface, for varieties that do not need coloring during the fruit ripening period, bags are generally not picked before fruit picking, but are harvested together with the fruit after ripening, and then removed when grading, so that the pericarp is delicate and not rough; for red pear and brown pear that need to be colored during ripening, the fruit bag should be removed in two stages before harvest. First, 15-20 days before harvest, remove the outer bag of the double-layer bag, so that the fruit in the bag quickly adapt to the strong light and other external environment to prevent sunburn. When the fruit will not be burned, remove the inner bag. Red pears without inner bags will soon turn red, and even brown pear varieties such as Huanghua pear, Qingxiang pear and Fengshui pear will quickly change from brown to red. Bag pick-up time should be arranged from 10:00 to 4 pm on a sunny day. Remove the fruit bags on the east and north side of the crown in the morning and the fruit bags on the south and west side in the afternoon, which can reduce the occurrence of sunburn. When picking the bag, hold the fruit in one hand and tie the mouth in the other to prevent the fruit from falling.
Removing the leaves blocking the sunlight of the fruit can increase the light intensity, promote the fruit surface coloring and uniform coloring, and increase the content of soluble sugars in the fruit. For red-skinned pear varieties and brown-skinned pear varieties that need to be colored and need to be bagged before harvest, the leaves should be picked from the 6th to 7th day after picking the bag. Focus on removing the upright branches on the back of the middle and upper parts of the crown, the long branches of the bore, part of the leaves on the competitive branches and the leaves covering the fruit directly blocking the light. It is appropriate to remove about 15% of the leaves of the whole plant. In order to prevent excessive leaf picking, the method of turning leaves can also be partially used to transfer the leaves that directly block the fruit surface to the side or back of the fruit before fruit picking, so that it no longer blocks the sun on the fruit surface. When picking leaves, you can use scissors to cut off, but should pay attention to retain the petiole, so as not to affect the development of buds.
Turning the fruit means changing the direction of the natural shade side of the fruit. Its function is similar to picking leaves, in order to promote fruit surface coloring, especially uniform coloring. Generally, the fruit coloring index can be increased by about 20%. Turn the fruit from the 6th day to the 7th day after picking the fruit bag, the specific time should be morning or evening, and do not turn the fruit when the temperature is high at noon. When turning the fruit, use transparent tape to fix the fruit on the adjacent branches, pay attention to hold the fruit by hand, gently transfer to the same direction, must not rotate back and forth, so as not to cause fruit drop. After the first fruit turning, it was changed every 5-6 days for 2-3 times in a row.
After removing the bag, laying a reflective curtain can increase the reflected light from the ground to the crown of the orchard and increase the sugar content of the fruit. 15-20 days before fruit picking, after leveling the tree plate, the plastic film coated with silver powder and strong reflective effect will be laid under the crown in time, and the outer edge of the film will be aligned with the outer edge of the crown, and compacted with bricks, stones and soil blocks to prevent it from being blown away by the wind. Each mu of pear orchard needs to be covered with a reflective screen of about 360 square meters.
