Virus-free Sweet Potato and its excellent varieties in Henan Province
Virus-free sweet potato refers to the sweet potato without some virus and its offspring bred in aphid-free and disease-free soil after strict virus detection.
At present, virus disease has become an important reason for the degradation of seed performance, yield and quality of sweet potatoes in Henan Province, while virus-free sweet potatoes can generally increase production by more than 30%, and their quality and appearance have also been improved. Therefore, the selection of virus-free sweet potato seedlings is a prerequisite for high yield of sweet potato.
Potato for starch processing
Xushu 18: the yield of virus-free Xushu 18 is about 40% higher than that of non-virus-free Xushu 18, the drying rate is 30%, and the starch rate is 20%. The virus-free Xushu 18 has strong plant growth, strong barren tolerance, wide adaptability and high resistance to root rot (root rot). The yield per mu can reach more than 2500 kg.
Yushu 13: high resistance to root rot, resistance to stem nematode disease, short stem vines. Its starch content is close to that of Xushu 18, and its yield is more than 10% higher than that of Xushu 18. The yield of spring potato is more than 3000 kg per mu and that of summer potato is more than 2000 kg per mu.
Ru potato yellow: this variety is selected from 134 sweet potato varieties. After detoxification, it has strong drought resistance, high resistance to stem nematode disease and root rot, the drying rate is 32.9%, the yield of fresh potato per mu is about 3000 kg, the rate of large potato is high, and the potato skin and meat are yellow.
Edible and commercial potatoes
Sushu No. 8: this variety has short vines, strong drought resistance, resistance to stem nematode and black spot, and no resistance to root rot. The yield of spring potato is 4000 kg per mu and that of summer potato is more than 3000 kg per mu.
Yushu 12: this variety is resistant to waterlogging. The yield of summer potato per mu is generally more than 2500 kg, which is about 20% higher than that of Xushu 18, and the starch rate is equivalent to that of Xushu 18. Resistant to root rot, sweet taste, good processing and edible.

Sweet potato "change" feed saves cost and increases efficiency
