Treatment of Porcine Influenza with traditional Chinese Medicine

It is characterized by sudden occurrence and rapid transmission. It often occurs in the whole group within a short period of 2-3 days. Pigs of different ages, genders and breeds are susceptible to infection. Most of them occur in late autumn and early spring when the weather changes rapidly, as well as in cold winter, with an incidence of about 100%. 63 cases of swine influenza were treated with Jingfang Baidu Powder and Yinqiao Powder. 60 cases were cured after 5 days, 2 cases were cured after 7 days, and 1 case was cured after 7 days.

The main results were as follows: (1) the clinical symptoms occurred suddenly and the whole group was infected almost at the same time. The body temperature of diseased pigs suddenly rose to 40.3 ℃ and 41.5 ℃, sometimes as high as 42 ℃. Loss of appetite, even abstinence, extreme mental malaise, lying down, coughing, runny nose, occasional sneezing, dry stool, shortness of urine, dyspnea, sometimes sitting dog posture, conjunctival flush, tears in the eyes.

2 addition and subtraction of Jing Fangdu Powder for the treatment of wind-cold influenza: Schizonepeta tenuifolia, Fangfeng, Notopterygium, solitary living, Bupleurum, Bupleurum, Fructus Aurantii, Poria cocos, Platycodon grandiflorum, Chuanxiong, licorice; Yinqiao Powder for wind-heat influenza: honeysuckle, forsythia, Scutellaria baicalensis, Bupleurum, burdock, tangerine peel, licorice. Water frying and irrigation were cured after 3 days.

Case 2 three pigs from a peasant household were diagnosed with illness. Symptoms: heavy fever, slight aversion to cold, no or less sweat, cough, shortness of breath, thirst, like drinking water, lipstick, dry and hard feces, yellow tongue coating, pulse floating. Diagnosed as wind-heat flu. The addition and subtraction of Yinqiao powder: honeysuckle 30g, forsythia 30g, Scutellaria baicalensis 30g, Bupleurum 30g, burdock 20g, tangerine peel 20g, licorice 10g. Fried in water for 3 pigs to drink at the same time, all recovered after 3 days.
