Characteristics: transgenic insect-resistant hybrid generation, the growth period of spring cotton planting in the Yangtze River valley is 128 days. The plant is tower-shaped and compact, with a height of 107.5 cm, a stout stem, large and dark green leaves, 17.2 fruit branches per plant, 22.0 bolls per plant, oval bolls, 6.0g per boll weight, seed index 10.6g, lint percentage 41.5%, and pre-frost flowering rate 86.9%. Resistance to Fusarium wilt and Verticillium wilt, resistance to cotton bollworm, high resistance to red bollworm; average length of the upper half of HVICC fiber is 30.0mm, specific strength is 30.2 N / Tex, micronaire value is 5.1, evenness index is 86.7%, elongation is 5.7%, reflectivity is 75.6%, yellowness is 8.3, spinning evenness index is 148.

Yield performance: participated in the regional trial of cotton varieties in the Yangtze River Basin from 2000 to 2001, the average yields per mu of seed cotton, lint and pre-frost lint were 247.0 kg, 102.5 kg and 89.19kg respectively, which were 120.0%, 111.2% and 115.2% of the control variety Simian 3, respectively. In the production test in 2002, the average yield per mu of seed cotton, lint and pre-frost lint was 246.1 kg, 101.4 kg and 73.96kg respectively, which were 115.1%, 113.4% and 119.5% of the control varieties, respectively.

Cultivation points: (1) timely early sowing and early planting, choosing disease-free or mildly diseased areas as seedbeds, semi-film mulching to promote early onset; density 1300-1500 plants per mu. (2) basic fertilizer should be sufficient, live rice fertilizer should be fast, bud fertilizer should be stable (controlling nitrogen and re-applying potash fertilizer and organic fertilizer), flower and boll fertilizer should be sufficient, capping fertilizer should be early, strong peach fertilizer should be skillful, pay attention to the combination of nitrogen, phosphorus and potash fertilizer, especially re-apply potash fertilizer. (3) adjust the whole process, a small amount and many times, and master the principle of being light, moderate and heavy. (4) to prevent stagnant water in the field, the rotten bolls should be removed in time at the initial stage of boll opening, and the cotton field should be drained during the whole growth period. (5) the second and third generations of cotton bollworm generally do not need to be controlled, pay attention to the control of the fourth generation of cotton bollworm outbreak, and pay attention to the control of non-Lepidoptera pests such as blind bug bug, aphid, red spider, cotton leafhopper and Spodoptera litura.

Suitable area: it is suitable to be planted as spring cotton varieties in the south of Huaihe River in Jiangsu and Anhui, as well as in Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Hubei, Hunan, Sichuan, southern Henan and other cotton areas along the Yangtze River, which should be promoted strictly in accordance with the allowable scope of safety certificate of agricultural genetically modified organisms.
