Flos Lonicerae, an improved variety of Flos Lonicerae
Honeysuckle's scientific name is honeysuckle, a semi-evergreen perennial vine twining shrub, is a commonly used Chinese herbal medicine, known as a natural broad-spectrum antibiotics. In recent years, with the development of honeysuckle application field, honeysuckle cultivation has changed from extensive management to intensive management, from one crop of flowers per year to four crops of flowers per year, the yield has been greatly improved, and the cultivation benefit is remarkable. At present, many places introduce or expand planting, but if you do not pay attention to variety selection, it will backfire.
Among the Chinese medicinal materials, honeysuckle is divided into dense honeysuckle, oriental honeysuckle and mountain honeysuckle. Miyinhua is mainly produced in Xinmi, Henan Province, and is a historical famous brand. Dongyinhua refers to Shandong products, while Shanyinhua refers to wild yinhua in southern provinces. The above is not a cultivar name of honeysuckle, but a trade name named after the place of origin.
Cultivated varieties of honeysuckle are divided into two categories: hairy flower and thread flower. The red stripe honeysuckle of line flower class grows creeping, has long internodes, low yield and can only produce one crop of flowers a year, which is an eliminated variety in production. Dachuanhua is one of the best varieties successfully popularized in production. The characteristics of large hairy flowers are: green young branches, short internodes, strong erectness, obvious dryness, thin leaves, leathery, ovate leaves to rectangular ovate, leaf hair more and dense, flower buds slightly curved, corolla 5~5.5 cm long, with rough hairs at the top, bracts broadly ovate.
Dachuanhua erect sex is strong, bear pruning, have the habit that blooms many times. Cultivated in the field can grow into a "honeysuckle tree", annual flower four times, also known as "four seasons honeysuckle". Under 500 meters above sea level in Zhengzhou area, Dahaohua blooms for the first time on May 13. After pruning, it blooms again every 35~39 days (average effective accumulated temperature 560℃) until late September.
The plant grows rapidly, planting 333 plants per mu (plant, row spacing 1 m ×2 m), 3-year-old trunk thickness up to 3.5 cm, crown width more than 1 m, plant height 1.3~1.5 m, coverage rate up to 80%, dry flowers per mu 100~150 kg.

A new technique for stem pruning of Flos Lonicerae
Pruning of Flos Lonicerae is an effective technical measure to regulate stem growth, promote flower bud differentiation, prolong plant life and stabilize high yield. After pruning, honeysuckle can generally increase production by 35-45%, and the highest is more than twice as high. After taking pruning measures, the flowering period of honeysuckle plants entering the aging period can be prolonged by 5-6 years. When honeysuckle enters the aging period, it is characterized by sparse leaves and light color, withered branches and weak flowers, and shrunken crown. In this period, heavy cutting was mainly used to renew and rejuvenate to prolong plant life and maintain stable yield. Pruning should be strict
