Origin and distribution: originally from Xianggu Liao Village, Pengxi Town, Taishun County, Zhejiang Province, it is selected by tea farmers. It is mainly distributed in the tea area of southern Zhejiang. Introduction is available in other tea areas in Zhejiang.
Features: the plant is tall, the tree posture is erect, the branches are sparse, and the leaves are horizontal or drooping. The leaf is long oval, green, glossy, the leaf surface is raised, the leaf body is flat, the leaf green is wavy, the leaf tip acuminate, the leaf tooth density is medium, the leaf quality is thick. The buds and leaves are light green and hairy, and the weight of one bud with three leaves is 40.0g. Corolla diameter 2.9cm, petals 7, ovary hairy, style 3-lobed.
Characteristics: buds and leaves have strong fertility and medium tenderness. The peak of one bud and one leaf is in the first ten days of April. The yield is medium, reaching 100kg per mu. The dry sample of one bud and two leaves of spring tea contains about 3.8% amino acids, 19.6% tea polyphenols, 12.6% total catechins and 4.3% caffeine. Make green tea, fat and tight knot, rich white hair, aroma like orchid fragrance, fresh taste. It has strong cold resistance. The expression is of medium fecundity.
Suitable planting area: Zhejiang tea area.
