Populus tomentosa is the main garden evergreen ornamental plant. Morphological characteristics and occurrence regularity: the adult body is white-brown, the wing is white and translucent, the leading edge of the front wing is brown, there is a fine white spot and curved crescent white spot in the middle chamber, and there is a brown band on the outer edge of the hind wing. The head of the larva is dark brown, the carcass is dark green, the topline is dark green, the valve of the subtopline is light dark brown, and each segment has a bright dark brown wart. It can reproduce three generations a year. The overwintering larvae began to move in early April and produced in mid-late July. The second generation larvae regenerated the third generation in early and middle September (Xi'an area).
Prevention and treatment methods: 40.7% chlorpyrifos EC 1000-2000 times, 50% phoxim emulsion diluted 1000 times, 40% omethoate diluted 1000 times, 80% dichlorvos diluted 2000 times, once every 7 days, a total of 3 times, can get a good effect on the prevention and treatment of early childhood.
