Impatiens white silk disease harms plant roots and fruits, causing quenching, root rot, base rot and fruit rot. The disease can harm Iris, orchid, peony, peach, plum and other plants.

Symptoms: at the initial stage of the disease, brown-black wet rot occurred at the base of the susceptible plant, followed by white silk mycelium and sclerotia the size of rapeseed. In the later stage of the disease, the seriously susceptible plants were stunted.

Pathogen: the pathogen is Rhizoctonia uniformis (SclerotiumrolfsiiSacc.), which belongs to the subphylum Trichoderma, Trichoderma and non-spore order fungi.

Disease regularity: the pathogen could survive in the soil and plant residue for many years with mycelium and bacterial brown, and the mycelium invaded from the root and stem of the seedling.

Prevention and treatment: ① pulled out the diseased plants and destroyed the sclerotia in the soil. Spread lime in the acupoint, or disinfect the soil with 70% pentachloronitrobenzene powder and new soil (1purl 100). In the early stage of ②, the base of the diseased stem was irrigated with 50% carbendazim wettable powder or 50% topiramine wettable powder, once every 7-10 days, for a total of 2-3 times.
