Sudden severe abdominal pain, the sick dog is highly restless, even lying on the ground rolling, the use of sedatives can not make it quiet. At the beginning of the disease, sparse stool is often mixed with a large amount of mucus or blood, and in severe cases, black-red thin stool can be discharged, and defecation stops in the later stage; when intestinal necrosis occurs, the sick dog turns quiet and the abdominal pain seems to disappear, but the spirit is still tired and the symptoms of collapse appear. Vomiting often occurs during intussusception of the small intestine. Touch the abdomen, sometimes you can touch the intussusception of the intestine like sausage, oppressing the intestinal segment, the pain is obvious. If there are no complications, the body temperature is generally normal, such as secondary enteritis, intestinal necrosis or peritonitis, the body temperature rises.

According to the sudden occurrence of severe abdominal pain, discharge of mucus or dark red blood stool, abdominal wall touch, sausage-like, painful intestinal segments, ineffective application of sedatives, etc., diagnosed as the disease. If you can do X-ray examination, it is conducive to the diagnosis of the disease.

[prevention and control measures]

A small number of mildly ill dogs can recover by themselves after symptomatic treatment, such as sedation and enema. Otherwise, surgical reconstruction should be carried out as soon as possible.
