Last Updated: 2024/11/05, Jujube leaf tick is commonly known as gray leaf disease, fog disease, fire dragon and so on. It uses adults and nymphs to harm jujube leaves, flowers and fruits. The injured leaves are gray and white, the mesophyll thickens and becomes brittle, when the leaf epidermis is necrotic, the photosynthetic capacity is lost, the leaves curl and fall easily, and the calyx can not bloom after being killed. The jujube leaf tick occurs for more than three generations a year, overwintering as adults or nymphs in jujube bud scales. The insect has three damage peaks in a year, that is, the end of April, the end of June and the middle of July, each lasting 10-15 days. Beginning in early August

The jujube leaf tick occurs for more than three generations a year, overwintering as adults or nymphs in jujube bud scales. The insect has three damage peaks in a year, that is, the end of April, the end of June and the middle of July, each lasting 10-15 days. In early August, it began to turn to the gap of bud scales to overwintering.

What are the main measures to control jujube leaf tick?

(1) artificial removal and search for overwintering adults and nymphs of leaf tick in winter.

(2) spraying according to the three peaks of its damage, 80% trichlorfon 800ml 1000 times, 1605 dilution 2000 times, or 25% imidophos 1500-2000 times.

(3) spraying 5-degree stone-sulfur mixture before germination and spraying water on trees combined with irrigation under trees in arid areas can also reduce the damage.
