Last Updated: 2024/11/05, We have carried out the breeding of new varieties of sweet carambola since the late 1980s. A single plant and scion of sweet carambola was introduced from home and abroad from 1986 to 1994. in 1992, it was found that the fruit shape and quality of a single plant (No. 94-3) was obviously different from that of the original variety Malaysia B17. Continuous observation and high grafting cultivation experiments from 1993 to 1995 showed that the genetic character of this single plant was stable. The seedlings of this line were bred from 1996 to 1998 in Nanning.

Key points of cultivation techniques

It is suitable to be planted in southern Guangxi. Choose the south or southeast middle and lower slopes with loose, fertile and small slopes, and build a garden on a gentle slope. The grafted seedlings were used and the row spacing was 4m × 5m. Use rotten organic fertilizer as base fertilizer before planting. Attach importance to plastic surgery and pruning.
