1. Clinical symptoms: fever (body temperature 40.5-42 ℃), lethargy, loss of appetite, drinking only a small amount of water, dyspnea, abdominal breathing, cough, red skin, purple ear tips, conjunctival cyanosis, slow walking or reluctance to stand, ataxia.

2. Autopsy: multiple inflammation such as pleurisy, peritonitis, meningitis, pericarditis, arthritis, pleural effusion, ascites, lung enlargement, hemorrhage, congestion, adhesion of lung and thoracic cavity, adhesion of epicardium and pleural cavity, and fibrous exudation of pericardium were found in dead pigs.

3. Diagnosis: aseptic blood of 2 dying pigs was inoculated into chocolate Agar medium and inoculated with staphylococci. Haemophilus parasuis was found around staphylococcal colonies and grew in satellite shape. According to the clinical symptoms, pathological changes and laboratory results, it was diagnosed as Haemophilus parasuis.

4. Treatment: ⑴ isolates sick pigs and strictly disinfects the site, fence and equipment once a day. ⑵ was used to urgently immunize the multivalent inactivated vaccine of Haemophilus parasuis in pigs without clinical symptoms, and 80mg of chlortetracycline, 240mg of chlortetracycline and 200mg of amoxicillin were added to each kilogram of feed for 7 days. Pigs with ⑶ disease were fed with florfenicol 100mg, chlortetracycline 500mg, Zhiyuanjing 160mg per kilogram of feed and 2 grams of accelerated bukang per kilogram of drinking water for 7 days. At the same time, every 45 kg of pigs were injected intramuscularly with ampicillin 1 g, aminopyrine 10 ml and gentamicin 10 ml for 7 days.

After taking the above treatment measures, except for the death of 4 seriously ill pigs, the condition of the other pigs was significantly improved. Two days later, each pig was injected with 2.4 million units of penicillin for 3 days, and the pigs were completely restored to health.
