A new cotton variety "Jifeng 106" bred by Cotton Research Institute of Hebei Province Academy of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences (Zip code: 050051, Tel: 0311-87652070) has recently passed the variety approval of Hebei Province.
This variety has big bolls, oval shape, easy to pick and good fiber quality. High resistance to Fusarium wilt, Verticillium wilt, cotton bollworm, drought resistance, salt tolerance, wide adaptability, early maturity, high pre-frost flower rate, easy to manage. The growth period is 130 days. There are 16 bolls per plant. The boll weight is 6.2g. The lint percentage is 41.63%. 667 square meters (1 mu) of seed cotton yield 250-350 kg.

Characteristics: this variety (formerly known as Han 78mur91) is an early-maturing low-phenol cotton with a growth period of 110 days and good early maturity. The plant is taller, the stem is stout, the fruit branch is slightly loose, the leaf is larger and the leaf color is light. The seedlings emerge quickly and grow well in the whole growth period. The leaves are smooth and concentrated. Resistant to wilt, resistant to yellow wilt. The weight of the bell is 4.7 grams and the clothing percentage is 34.7%. In the national summer cotton regional test and production test, the lint yield before frost increased by 10.9% and 19.6% compared with the control.
