Nutritious Lentinus edodes is a kind of saprophytic bacteria in water quality, which makes a living by decomposing and absorbing nutrients in wood. In sawdust cultivation, the addition of some nutrients, such as rice bran, wheat bran, sugar and trace elements, can make the mycelium develop well and promote the high quality and high yield of Lentinus edodes. 2. The living conditions needed for the growth and development of Lentinus edodes include water, nutrition, temperature, air, light and pH (pH value) and so on.

1. Nutrition

Lentinus edodes is a kind of saprophytic bacteria in water quality, which makes a living by decomposing and absorbing nutrients in wood. In sawdust cultivation, the addition of some nutrients, such as rice bran, wheat bran, sugar and trace elements, can make the mycelium develop well and promote the high quality and high yield of Lentinus edodes.

2. Temperature

Lentinus edodes is a fruiting fungus with low temperature and variable temperature. the optimum temperature for spore germination, mycelium growth range, fruiting body development temperature and fruiting body development temperature are 22 ℃ 26 ℃, 32 ℃, 10 ℃ 28 ℃, 25 ℃ and 18 ℃ respectively. Different varieties of Lentinus edodes have different requirements for temperature. For example, the highest yield of Lentinus edodes was obtained when the monthly average temperature of "7402" was 12 ℃ and 17 min. Low temperature and variable temperature stimulation were beneficial to the formation of fruiting body, and the primordium did not form mushroom bud under constant temperature.

3. Moisture

Lentinus edodes has different requirements for moisture and humidity at different stages of growth and development. When the mycelium grows, the water content of the culture material is 55%, the air relative humidity is about 70%, the water content of the fruiting body is 60%, and the air relative humidity is 85% 93%.

4. Air

Lentinus edodes is a kind of aerobic fungus, the mycelium is easy to senescence and the fruiting body is deformed during hypoxia, while some molds and miscellaneous bacteria are easy to breed.

5. Lighting

Lentinus edodes needs appropriate scattered light in the process of growth and development, which can promote the development of mycelium and the transformation and deposition of pigment. In the period of fruiting body differentiation, without a certain amount of scattered light, the primordium is not easy to form. In the case of lack of light, the growing Lentinus edodes has light color, thin meat, long stalk and poor quality. Of course, too much direct light is also harmful.

6. PH (pH value)

Lentinus edodes is suitable to grow in slightly acidic culture medium, and the suitable range of pH value is 3mur7, of which 5 is the most suitable. In the case of sawdust cultivation, the PH value of the cultivation block is generally 3.5 murine 5, and the optimum value is about 4.

The above conditions are necessary for the growth of Lentinus edodes and complement each other. One-sided emphasis on one aspect while ignoring other conditions is disadvantageous to the normal growth of Lentinus edodes.
