[Plant characteristics] Euonymus is an evergreen shrub or small tree. Plant height up to 8 meters. Branchlets green. Leaves simple, opposite, obovate or narrowly elliptic, 3 - 6 cm long, apex acute or obtuse, base broadly cuneate, margin obtuse, smooth, leathery.
[Leaf cutting and harvesting] Harvest parts are leafy branches of Euonymus Japonica. Harvesting can be done when the leaves are fully unfolded and turn dark green. Care should be taken not to damage the plant shape greatly during harvesting. Operations can be performed throughout the day. The product is temporarily placed in a cool place and precooled as soon as possible.
[Classification] The harvested leaves should be classified under the premise of typical characteristics of the species, no damage pollution, and good visual effects: the length of the first cut leaves is about 50 cm; the length of the second cut leaves is about 40 cm; the length of the third cut leaves is about 30 cm. The difference in leaf length of the same grade should not exceed the standard ±2 cm.
[Packaging] Bind and fix 20 branches of Euonymus Japonica with leaves of the same grade, and put them into lined corrugated cartons marked with name and air holes respectively.
[Preservation Management] The cut leaves can be stored in an environment with a relative humidity of 90% to 95% and a temperature of 2 to 4℃. After unpacking, spray water to moisturize and insert it into water as soon as possible. If it can be placed in direct sunlight, it will help to maintain the quality of Euonymus leaves.
[Storage period] According to the above method, the leafy branches of Euonymus Japonica can usually be stored for 7 to 10 days without affecting the decorative effect.
