Robinia pseudoacacia is a rare green incense tree species, which is resistant to cold, drought, barren, saline and alkali, developed root system, rapid growth and wide adaptability. it can be widely used in urban and rural beautification, barren mountain greening and so on. it has great garden greening value and high forestry economic value. As Robinia pseudoacacia has not been introduced from abroad for a short time, as a new rare tree species, breeding seedlings is still a project with high rate of return within 7 years. The techniques of raising seedlings are briefly introduced as follows:

First, seedling propagation: Robinia pseudoacacia does not bear seeds, generally using root-burying and branch-cutting method, the survival rate of branch-cutting method is low, generally mainly by root-burying propagation.

The main results are as follows: 1. The main and lateral roots of 1-2-year-old Sophora japonica are selected for root-burying propagation, and the diameter is 0.5-1.5. When taking the root, cut off the root from the plant 20cm before sprouting, or dig out the tree together with the root, leave the root 20cm long, and cut off the rest. Dig out and cut the roots to avoid damage to the root bark, sand storage or burying soil before cutting to prevent dehydration. In April, the root was taken out and cut into the root segment of 8-10cm, and the root was buried in the border bed with a depth of about 5cm and a row spacing of 0.3m × 1.0m. Water and fertilizer management should be strengthened, drought should be watered, rain should be drained in time.

2. In the method of branch cutting, one-year-old hard branches were selected, and the branches were cut into 15cm-long cuttings in the first and middle of April, and the branches were soaked in 50mg/kg concentration of ABT2 rooting powder for 4 hours before cutting. The cuttings were covered with thin film to improve the ground temperature and moisturize, and the cuttings were inserted into the border bed at an angle of 45 degrees to keep the soil moist. The root-burying or cuttage seedlings can grow up to 1.5m m in the same year. Robinia pseudoacacia propagates rapidly, and 60 seedlings can be propagated by root insertion method in the second year.

Second, seedling planting: transplanting should be carried out after defoliation in autumn or before sprouting in spring. Watering in time after planting, and watering about 3 times according to drought in the future to ensure survival. Robinia pseudoacacia has strong vitality and high survival rate, so transplanting seedlings do not need to carry soil or chemical treatment. In order to make the seedlings grow healthily, after transplanting the seedlings, stubble from the ground, cut off thousands of branches on the ground, and leave a strong bud from the base. After green and flat stubble, Robinia pseudoacacia not only has a high survival rate, but also has good tree shape and fast growth. Robinia pseudoacacia grows naturally. The crown opens, the tree shape is beautiful, and there is no need for pruning. The tree height can reach 2m in the same year, and the main and lateral roots are up to 2m in length. Generally bloom in the second year after planting.
