Last Updated: 2024/09/20, Azaleas are widely distributed in China, from Changbai Mountain in the northeast to the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau and Xizang Plateau in the southwest. There are more than 800 species of Rhododendron in the world, and there are more than 600 species in China. Their general ecological habit is to grow in the shade of high mountains, and their roots grow in the acidic soil made up of dead branches and leaves; because the altitude of the place of origin is relatively high, the summer is cool, and the air humidity is so high that they can not be attacked by the dry wind. If you want to raise azaleas well in your family, the main way is to create artificial approach.

The main way to raise azaleas in the family is to artificially create environmental conditions close to the place of origin. Practical experience has proved that rhododendron culture uses brown peat as basin soil and does not add other soil materials. Before putting on the basin, chisel the drainage bottom hole and put more broken tiles to increase the water permeability of the basin soil. Do not use the basin too big, because the main root and lateral root of the cuckoo are very few, and it is unlikely to form a dense root mass. During maintenance, dry and wet should only be applied 4 times after flower fade, with an interval of about half a month. 5 ℃ in spring, summer and autumn, and no more than 15 ℃, so that they can fully see the light. Under such cultivation conditions, the spring cuckoo blossoms from the first and middle of March, and the summer cuckoo blossoms from the middle to late May, and the flowering period can last more than one and a half months.
