Animal feed is an important part of the feed composition of raccoon dog, which has a great influence on the health, reproduction and fur quality of raccoon dog. Artificial animal feed mainly includes fish, meat, fish and meat, milk, eggs and dried products of animal feed.

(1) Fish

It is the main source of animal protein. In addition to puffer fish and other poisonous fish, most marine fish and freshwater fish can be used as feed for raccoon dogs. Fish contain not only high protein, but also fat, vitamin A, vitamin D and inorganic salts. The digestibility is almost the same as meat. The energy content varies greatly with different fish species, generally 3.35 to 3.77 megajoules per kilogram.

Raccoon dogs in the breeding season to feed good quality, high protein content of fish, such as sea catfish, partial mouth fish, etc.; autumn molting season can feed some fish with high fat content, such as belt fish; other periods can feed some cheap miscellaneous fish. The nutritional value of raw fresh fish is higher than that of cooked feeding, but some marine fish (such as red goby, goby, fragrant fish, etc.) and most freshwater fish (especially cyprinid fish) contain thiamine enzymes, which can destroy vitamin B1, such as long-term feeding is easy to cause vitamin B1 deficiency, so they should be well fed. When feeding the fish, the quality must be fresh, because the fish has a high content of unsaturated fatty acids, improper storage is very easy to oxidize rancidity and produce peroxides, decompose toxins, which can cause poisoning after feeding. Cause adipose tissue inflammation, hemorrhagic enteritis, abscess and vitamin deficiency. When feeding fish, it should be mixed with meat and other feed as far as possible, so as to enhance the complementary effect of nutrients.

(2) Meat

It is a full-price protein feed with high nutritional value. it contains all essential amino acids similar to that of raccoon dogs, as well as nutrients such as fat, vitamins and inorganic salts. It has strong palatability and high digestibility, so it is an ideal variety in raccoon dog feed.

Raccoon dogs can eat meat from almost all animals. Fresh meat can be fed raw, with strong palatability and high digestibility. Meat from unclear or stale sources should be thoroughly cooked before feeding. Fresh broken bones together with scraps of meat on bones are also part of the meat feed for raccoon dogs. When feeding raccoons with fresh broken bones and small skeletons (rabbit skeletons), they are ground and fed with scraps of meat. The amount of fresh broken bone can account for 10% to 15% of animal feed. Cysticercosis pork (pox pork) can account for about 20% of animal feed after being cooked at high temperature, and should not be too much.

(3) Miscellaneous fish and meat

1. Fish are mixed. Coastal areas and aquatic products factories have a large number of fish heads, fish skeletons, viscera and other scraps, the annual output is not small, urgent use, is the protein feed for raccoon dogs. The fresh skeleton can be fed raw, and the feeding amount during the breeding period should not exceed 20% of the animal feed; the growth period of young raccoon dogs and winter hair can be increased to 40%, and those with poor freshness should be cooked.

two。 Livestock and poultry are mixed. It mainly includes the head, lower extremities and internal organs of animals, which is an ideal cheap animal feed. (1) the liver contains about 20% protein, 5% fat and multivitamins and inorganic salts, which is the necessary feed for raccoon dog breeding and young raccoon dog breeding. Fresh liver can be fed raw, because the liver has a cathartic effect, so the amount of feeding can account for 15%-20% of animal feed. It should be increased gradually from less to more, so as not to cause diarrhea. (2) the heart and kidney are rich in protein and vitamins, palatable and easy to digest and absorb. It is usually fed during the breeding season, and fresh hearts and kidneys can be fed raw. (3) the lungs contain a certain amount of protein, iron and vitamins, but there is a lot of connective tissue and low digestibility, and it has a stimulating effect on the stomach and intestines. Raccoon dogs are prone to vomiting after eating, and the lungs often carry pathogens and parasites, which must be well fed. The amount of feeding can account for 10%-15% of animal feed, which should not be too much. (4) the stomach and intestines can also be fed to raccoon dogs, but the nutritional value is not high. Stomach and intestines must be fully cooked and utilized at high temperature, accounting for 20% to 30% of animal feed. If stomach and intestines are added to the diet, the amount of feed should be increased. (5) the brain contains a lot of lecithin and various essential amino acids, which has high nutritional value, especially can promote the development of the reproductive organs of raccoon dogs, so it is called aphrodisiac feed, which is generally fed properly during the preparation and mating period. The brain is also good for the growth and improvement of plush quality. (6) the nutritional value of blood is very high, fresh blood is best fed raw, old blood should be cooked, and blood powder and blood tofu can be directly mixed with feed. The dosage can account for 10% to 15% of animal feed. (7) Rabbit head is a by-product of rabbit meat processing, which can be ground and fed to raccoon dogs with high nutritional value and can be fed according to 30% of animal feed. However, the dosage should not be too much during the breeding period, so as to avoid adverse consequences due to lack of protein. (8) the main by-products of poultry are neck, skin, viscera, etc., which can be ground and fed to raccoon dogs after ripening, and the general dosage is about 20% of animal feed.

When feeding fish and meat, you should pay special attention to avoid using estrogen-containing offal of livestock and poultry, such as uterus, placenta, fetus and livestock and poultry meat treated with estrogen, during the breeding period of female raccoon dogs. In particular, the abortion of the placenta or fetus, can not be used, will cause reproductive disorders, pregnancy rate decline, give birth to less or the whole group of infertility.

(4) Milk and egg feed

There are mainly cow and sheep fresh milk and yoghurt, skim milk, milk powder and other dairy products. Eggs refer to chickens, ducks, goose eggs and azoospermic eggs in the process of hatching. they are full-price feed with rich nutrients and are easy to digest and absorb. Generally used in raccoon dog breeding period, it can promote lactation and the growth of raccoon dog, in the diet should not exceed 20% of the total feed, too much is prone to diarrhea. It is forbidden to feed raccoon dogs with rancid milk and eggs. Fresh milk should be heated to 70-80 ℃, sterilized for 15 minutes and then fed to raccoon dogs.

(5) dry animal feed

There are mainly fish meal, meat meal, bone and meat meal, liver dregs, feather meal, silkworm pupa meal, dried fish and so on, which are high in protein and can be used to feed racoon dogs. The general dosage can account for 20% or 25% of animal feed. Most of the dry feed contains a lot of salt, which can only be used if it is thoroughly washed out by water.
