Changyou No.1 (Japonica Hybrid Rice)
"Changyou 1" is a new "three-line" high-quality hybrid japonica variety bred by the Institute of Agricultural Sciences of Changshu City, Jiangsu Province in 1998. It was approved by Jiangsu Province in January 2002 and National examination and approval in November 2003 (National examination and approval of Rice 2003068). At the same time, the male sterile line Wuyunjing 7 A has applied for new variety protection, numbered CN20010203.6. Because this variety has the advantages of good quality, high yield, strong resistance, wide adaptability and high yield of seed production, it has been popularized and planted in late japonica rice areas of Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai, Anhui and Hubei provinces, showing a broad utilization prospect. This variety was developed by Changshu Agricultural Science Institute, Suzhou seed Company and Changshu seed Company.
According to the physical and chemical indexes determined by the Rice and products Supervision, Inspection and testing Center of the Ministry of Agriculture, the rate of brown rice is 85.5%, the rate of milled rice is 76.8%, the rate of head rice is 73.9%, the rate of chalkiness is 17%, the degree of chalkiness is 2.0%, the transparency is grade 2, the alkali elimination value is grade 7.0. the gel consistency is 92, the amylose content is 17.1%, and the protein content is 7.2%, which meets the newly issued international (GB/T17891~1999) second-class standard for high-quality rice. It is rated as high quality rice in Jiangsu Province.
The first high yield stands out in all kinds of tests at all levels. In 2001, he participated in the national single-cropping late japonica regional test in southern rice region, with an average yield of 584.7 kg per mu, an increase of 6.16% over the control Xiushui 6, ranking first. In 2002, he continued to participate in the national regional test, with an average yield of 601.5 kg per mu. In the same year, he took part in the production experiment, and the yield per mu was 623.2 kg, which was 5.46% higher than that of Xiushui 63. Second, planting in a large area has high and stable yields. In 2002, Diankou Town, Zhuji City, Zhejiang Province planted 73.5mu, with an average yield of 505.6 kg / mu, 10.8% higher than that of Bayou 8. In 2003, 60 mu were planted in Xiongtou Village and Dongshantou original seed Farm in Xiaonan District, Xiaogan City, Hubei Province, with an average yield of 552.0 kg per mu, 8.02% higher than Ejingza 1 and 12.65% higher than conventional rice.
The high and stable yield of Changyou 1 is mainly reflected in full grain, large grain weight per ear and coordination of ear-grain structure. The plant height of the combination is 105 ~ 110cm, the number of effective panicles per mu is 16 ~ 170000, the total number of grains per panicle is 165170grains, the seed setting rate is about 85%, the 1000-grain weight is 27028g, and the yield per mu is about 600kg.
The ripening period is suitable for sowing in mid-late May, transplanting in mid-late June, seedling age of about 30 days, full heading in early September, mature in late October, and the whole growth period is about 160 days. It is suitable for planting in Taihu Lake rice area and single-cropping late japonica rice area in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River.
The identification of strong resistance Changyou 1 showed high resistance to rice blast and medium resistance to bacterial blight. The incidence of sheath blight was mild. The combination is fertilizer-resistant and lodging-resistant, has a beautiful growth, and has a good ripe color when the stalk, green seed and yellow are ripe.
The seed production of Changyou No. 1 shows the characteristics of small difference period of parent sowing, relatively easy to meet at flowering stage and high seed setting rate of outcrossing. In 2002, 400 mu of seeds were produced in Kunshan, Suzhou, with an average yield of 200 kg per mu, of which farmer Qian Julin produced 20 mu of seeds, and the yield per mu exceeded 250 kg.
The economic benefit is as high as 25 kg per mu of the conventional varieties currently popularized, and the income can be increased by 45 yuan per mu according to 1.6 yuan per kilogram of rice, and the net rice yield can be increased by 12 kg per mu and 28.8 yuan per mu according to 2.4 yuan per kilogram of rice. In addition, seedling fields can be saved, transplanting labor can be reduced, nitrogen fertilizer input can be reduced, and 10 yuan can be saved comprehensively. Planting Changyou No. 1 can increase income and save expenditure by 83.8 yuan per mu.
