I. Source of varieties

The College of crops, China Agricultural University was bred in 1993. The parent is: Mujiao 78-595×khaomon. It was recognized by Beijing in 2000.

2. Characteristic characteristics

Spring sowing of upland rice in Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, southern Liaoning and northern Shandong, with a total growth period of 130-140 days, and dry direct seeding of wheat stubble in Huang-Huai region, with a total growth period of 110-120 days. It has strong drought tolerance, developed root system, sturdy stem, luxuriant growth and strong lodging resistance. The plant height is 100-120 cm, the tillering ability is weak, the plant type is compact, the leaf is draped and lifted, and the leaf color is dark. The ear length is 19-25 cm, the number of spikelets is 100-140, the seed setting rate is 85-94%, and the 1000-grain weight is 26-32 grams. Japonica type, excellent rice quality, large and transparent rice grains, good taste. The average yield per mu is 300-400 kg.

Disease resistance: resistance to rice blast and flax spot. In the middle and upper leaf position in the filling stage, some leaf sheaths turn purple-brown, resulting in premature senescence of leaves, which is prone to rice planthopper damage.

Quality analysis: crude protein 8.76%, amylose 10.26%, brown rice rate 78.84%, milled rice rate 70.06%, head rice rate 63.58%, chalky rice rate 24%, chalkiness 0.5%, chalkiness 0.12%, transparency 0.64, gel consistency 88 mm, gelatinization temperature (alkali elimination value) 7, aspect ratio 2.

III. Key points of cultivation techniques

As a first-cropping rice, Beijing is directly sown in drought from mid-May to early May in plain areas, and sown in mountainous areas from mid-late April to early May.

The sowing rate is 7-9 kg / mu, the sowing depth is 3 cm, and the row spacing is 27-30 cm. The seeds were coated with upland rice seed coating agent. Before sowing, use 28% EC of "upland rice herbicide No. 1" or 20% EC of "Ding Xue mixture", 250 ml per mu with 60-80 kg of water.

Apply 15-20 kg ternary compound fertilizer per mu plus 1.5 kg ferrous sulfate and 1 kg zinc sulfate, or 20-30 kg total compound fertilizer. Topdressing 1-2 times, the total amount of urea is 10-15 kg / mu, or 20-30 kg / mu of ammonium sulfate. Irrigation (including soil moisture) for 3-5 times, 50 square meters per mu each time.

In the middle and later stage, attention should be paid to the control of rice planthopper, rice locust and sheath blight.

IV. Areas suitable for planting

It is suitable for spring sowing of upland rice in Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, southern Liaoning and northern Shandong, and dry direct seeding of wheat stubble in Huang-Huai area.
