Characteristics: the first generation of mid-mature hybrid varieties transformed with insect-resistant genes, the growth period of spring sowing in the Yellow River basin is 122 days. The plant is loose, the plant height is 100.4 cm, the boll per plant is 17.3, the boll is oval, the bell shell is thin, the boll is smooth and concentrated, the single boll weight is 6.3g, the lint percentage is 40.0%, the seed finger is 11.5g, and the pre-frost flowering rate is 94.1%. Resistant to Fusarium wilt, Verticillium wilt and cotton bollworm.
Yield performance: in 2005, we participated in the variety regional trial of hybrid spring cotton group in the cotton area of the Yellow River Basin. The yields of seed cotton, lint and pre-frost lint per mu were 244.3 kg, 95.9 kg and 90.4 kg respectively, which were 15.2%, 14.6% and 15.2% higher than that of Zhongmiansuo 41, respectively. In 2006, the yields of seed cotton, lint and pre-frost lint per mu were 251.4 kg, 101.1 kg and 94.9 kg, respectively. Compared with the control, the yield increased by 10.7%, 9.8% and 8.8%, respectively. In the production test in 2006, the average yield per mu of seed cotton, lint and pre-frost lint was 246.7 kg, 98.5kg and 93.9kg respectively, which was 6.1%, 4.0% and 2.2% higher than that of the control.
Approval opinion: the transgenic organism of this variety is named Shannong SF03, which is suitable for spring sowing in the cotton areas of the Yellow River valley north of Huaihe River in Jiangsu and Anhui provinces, such as Shandong, northern and central Henan, southern Shanxi, Guanzhong, Tianjin, Jiangsu and Anhui provinces.
