Last Updated: 2024/11/05, At present, most of the cotton in our province has entered the bud stage. in view of the current situation of high temperature and heat, drought and little rain in most areas, the following management technical suggestions are put forward for the majority of cotton farmers' reference. First, watering and fertilizing. It is necessary to properly water and apply a small amount of nitrogen fertilizer to promote seedlings. For the cotton fields with poor soil fertility, insufficient or less base fertilizer and weak cotton growth, the combination of watering can top up 5 kg of urea per mu. Can also increase the application of phosphate fertilizer, potash fertilizer, general mu application of diammonium, potassium sulfate or potassium chloride each 5 kg. Second, active chemical control. Active chemical control by spraying propofol before watering

At present, most of the cotton in our province has entered the bud stage. in view of the current situation of high temperature and heat, drought and little rain in most areas, the following management technical suggestions are put forward for the majority of cotton farmers' reference.

Active chemical control was carried out by spraying meth before watering. 0.5 kilogram per mu of propranolol was sprayed on 30 kilograms of water. In this way, we can "control prosperity without prosperity" and shape a good high-yielding plant type.

Third, uncover the film at the right time. Most cotton farmers disrelish trouble or do not understand enough, do not uncover the film, resulting in cotton plant roots can not be tied down, mainly distributed in the surface of the soil, neither drought resistance, nor lodging resistance, at the same time can not make full use of soil nutrients, easy to form premature senility in the later stage, resulting in reduced yield. Therefore, it is suggested that the majority of cotton farmers can change it and develop the planting habit of uncovering the film.

Fourth, cultivate the soil through ploughing. Middle ploughing, especially deep and middle ploughing, plays an important role in controlling the overgrowth of cotton plants, promoting the rooting of cotton roots and the stable growth of strong trees. However, it should be classified, and deep ploughing should be carried out after general rainfall or irrigation, as well as when cotton plants are growing vigorously. For dryland cotton fields, it is mainly shallow hoeing to kill grass and preserve soil moisture, and there is no need for deep ploughing. We should grasp the principle of keeping the field soil loose and free of weeds, and at the same time do a good job of soil cultivation in combination with mid-tillage.

Fifth, scientific pruning. For the pruning cotton field, it is necessary to remove leaf branches and superfluous buds in time, and the leaf branches should be no more than one inch, which should be early rather than late, so as to reduce nutrient consumption, effectively regulate the distribution of nutrients to fruit branches, improve field light, and control the crazy growth of cotton plants.

Sixth, prevent diseases and insects. According to the forecast of local diseases and insect pests, we should pay close attention to the control of cotton aphids, cotton leaf mites, Bemisia Tabaci, cotton thrips and bug bugs. The prevention and control of cotton wilt should be based on the principle of "prevention first". Measures such as cultivating strong seedlings, maintaining good ventilation and light transmission and increasing the application of potassium fertilizer should be taken to improve the disease resistance of cotton plants; if the disease occurs, fungicides and nutrients should be sprayed in time to prevent further spread.
