The cultivation of Lentinus edodes-- selecting Mushroom Farm
The cultivation of Lentinus edodes-- selecting Mushroom Farm
The cultivation of Lentinus edodes by artificial wood in China began in 1313 AD. At that time, the production of Lentinus edodes by artificial flower cutting was recorded in Wang Zhen's Agricultural Book. This method has been used until the 1960s, with the popularization of the new pure mycelium inoculation technology, the production of Lentinus edodes has been developed.
The old method of cutting flowers is to cut many incisions in the tree trunk, so that the natural invasion of Lentinus edodes spores in nature, inoculation and growth of Lentinus edodes. This extensive cultivation method and production process is relatively simple, and does not need any special equipment, so it can be produced in deep mountains and dense forests with inconvenient transportation. However, due to relying on natural spore inoculation, the success rate is very low, the cycle is very long, the yield is very low, and the waste of forest resources is also serious, which has been gradually eliminated. The new pure mycelium inoculation technology has the characteristics of early mushroom emergence, high yield, good quality, conducive to scientific management, convenient breeding and promotion of excellent varieties, so it has been widely used in various places.
Select mushroom farm
This is one of the keys to determine the success or failure of Lentinus edodes cultivation. The selection of mushroom farm should be considered from the aspects of temperature, humidity, avoiding or reducing diseases and insect pests, and the resources of cultivated Lentinus edodes tree species. It is required that there are tree species suitable for the cultivation of Lentinus edodes near the mushroom farm, and can be used for a long time; there are evergreen shade trees, that is, three yin and seven yang in autumn and winter, seven yin and three yang in spring and summer; convenient water source, good ventilation and drainage; sandy soil with more gravel is better. Generally, it should be chosen on the hillside slope to the east, south or southeast of the wind and sun.
After the mushroom farm is selected, it is necessary to remove weeds and fallen leaves, small trees and shrubs, in order to facilitate ventilation and eliminate miscellaneous bacteria, disinfect the field with lime, and clear the road for transporting mushroom wood.

Drying technology of Lentinus edodes
1. Harvest standard. When the fruiting body of Lentinus edodes to be dried is mature and the edge of the lid is still rolled inward in the shape of a gong, it is the right time to harvest. It is best to harvest Lentinus edodes on a sunny day. Before rain, if the mushroom is close to the harvest time, it should be harvested before the rain. two。 Harvesting method. The principle is not to damage the original matrix and to maintain the integrity, beauty and good quality of the mushroom body. When picking, hold the mushroom handle tightly with your thumb and index finger, rotate left and right to detach the handle from the matrix, and do not pull it up hard to avoid pulling the whole matrix

Cultivation of Lentinus edodes with stacks of Fungi
After inoculation, in order to quickly colonize the hyphae and spread to the cambium, the mushroom wood must be stacked. The stacking forms that are often used are "well" shape, "roof ridge" shape, "fish scale" shape and so on. In relatively humid places, the "well" shape and "roof ridge" shape are usually used, with a heap height of 1.5ml 1.6 meters, and the bottom is covered with stones, about 20 centimeters from the ground, and covered with branches, leaves, grass curtains, etc. Spray water every 2 days, turn the pile once a week, and change the position of the wood. The main purpose of this stage is to maintain the temperature in the pile, which promotes the colonization of mycelium.
