Introduction of a new variety-tetraploid Robinia pseudoacacia
Tetraploid Robinia pseudoacacia, a new polyploid variety of Robinia pseudoacacia, originated from South Korea and was introduced into China in recent years. At present, five series numbers have been introduced and cultivated, which can be divided into two types: fast-growing wood type and feed type. According to the analysis of the experimental results, compared with the common Robinia pseudoacacia clones, the main characteristics of tetraploid Robinia pseudoacacia clones are as follows: the fast-growing wood type of ① is similar to that of common Robinia pseudoacacia clones, but the rapid growth is more obvious. The height of annual grafted seedlings can reach 3 meters, the ground diameter is 3.5 cm, and the height of 3-year-old trees is 5 meters to 7 meters, and the DBH is 6 cm to 9 cm. The 18-year-old tree is 19 meters high, with a DBH of 24.5cm and a single tree volume of 0.283 cubic meters. The forage branch of ② is thornless and shrub-like, the trunk is not obvious, and the leaf is more than 2 times that of common Robinia pseudoacacia. The leaf color is dark green and the mesophyll is thick. The dry weight of compound leaves and the total dry weight of single plant are more than 1.5 times that of common Robinia pseudoacacia. The leaves are rich in many vitamins and minerals. Compared with Hungarian Robinia pseudoacacia clones, they contain 118% crude protein, 126% crude fat and 180% ash. In addition, it also contains calcium, phosphorus and other trace elements needed by livestock. Leaves are very suitable for animal feed.
Compared with common Robinia pseudoacacia, tetraploid Robinia pseudoacacia has stronger adaptability, resistance to drought and barren, strong resistance to smoke, dust and salinity, and rapid growth of forest. it is a good tree species for soil and water conservation, wind prevention and sand fixation, and returning farmland to forest. It has high biological content per unit area and its leaves are rich in nutrition, so it is an excellent animal husbandry feed.

Pay attention to distinguish between true and false in the introduction of Robinia pseudoacacia
At present, there are four kinds of false inferior Robinia pseudoacacia seedlings sold in the market: (1) Safflower Robinia pseudoacacia instead of Robinia pseudoacacia. The Corolla of Robinia pseudoacacia and Robinia pseudoacacia are both butterfly-shaped purplish red. Safflower Robinia pseudoacacia blossoms once a year, bears pods and is grafted with Robinia pseudoacacia as rootstock. Robinia pseudoacacia blossoms twice a year, does not bear pods, and propagates in root segments. (2) aged seed root. The seed root of perennial Sophora japonica has a very low germination rate due to aging. According to the trial planting, the roots of Sophora japonica for more than two years should not be used as seedlings, let alone in the market.

Cultivation and Management of Robinia pseudoacacia
First, the method of propagation is easy to reproduce, burying roots, cutting, grafting, or digging roots to propagate. The main and lateral roots of 1-year-old and 2-year-old Sophora japonica were selected for root-burying propagation, and the suitable diameter was 0.3-1.5 cm. 1012kg per mu of roots are needed, and 300kg / kg of roots can be cut 400 segments. Two methods of transplanting seedlings in greenhouse and burying roots in field can be selected. The indoor seedling was raised in different areas and the seedling raising time was different, so it was transplanted into the field in the middle of May. Burying roots in the field will be carried out when the lowest outdoor temperature is more than 10 ℃.
