I. Source of varieties

Beijing Haidian District Plant tissue Culture Technology Laboratory was bred in 1998. The parent is: anther culture line 97-13 (Beijing six-leaf eggplant anther culture new variety). It was approved by Beijing in 2001.

2. Characteristic characteristics

Early-maturing eggplant varieties, high yield, disease resistance and drought tolerance. The growth potential is medium, the plant height is 90 cm, and the plant development degree is 80 cm. The stems and leaves are purple. The fruit is nearly round, black and purple, glossy, delicate meat, slightly sweet, good flavor. The average weight of a single fruit is 350 grams. Strong ability of continuous fruit setting. The yield per mu is more than 4000 kilograms.

III. Key points of cultivation techniques

Haihua eggplant No. 1 has good early maturity and can be cultivated in open field and protected field. The planting density in open field is 3000 plants / mu, and the density in protected field can be reduced appropriately. In Beijing area, it is common to sow and raise seedlings in mid-and late-December, planted in protected areas in late March, and planted in open fields in mid-and late-April. After planting, the combination of promotion and control, fertilizer and water should not be too large, grasp the early yield, in order to increase the output value. The protected land was harvested in early May and the open field in the middle of May.
