Scientific name AeliasibiricaReuter Hemiptera, Pentatomidae. Distribution from Heilongjiang, Inner Mongolia, * *, south to Shanxi, Shaanxi, Gansu, Qinghai.

Host wheat, rice and other Gramineae plants.

When the nymphs sucked the sap of the host leaves, the damaged wheat seedlings appeared withered heart or white spots on the leaves, then twisted into braids, and white ears and blighted grains appeared.

Morphological characteristics the adult is 9-11mm long, yellowish brown, with black and white longitudinal stripes, the head is tilted downward, and the front end is pointed and divided. The small shield is specially developed like a tongue, longer than the center of the abdomen and back. Egg steamed bread shape, reddish brown. Most or even all of the nymphs are black, with red compound eyes and yellow between the ventral segments. (left of the picture)

Living habits 2 Mel 3 generations in Ningxia, overwintering as adults at the base of Achnatherum splendens. The activity began in late April of the following year, moved into the wheat field in early May to harm the wheat seedlings, laid eggs on the lower leaf tip of the wheat seedlings or on the withered branches and leaves on the surface in early May, arranged 12 grains in a single row, hatched into nymphs in the middle of May, and flew back to the overwintering weeds when they matured and began to overwinter in October.

Control methods (1) before resuming the activity of overwintering insects, remove the deep burying or burning of English grass near the wheat field in order to reduce the source of insects. (2) if necessary, use 2.5% trichlorfon powder 1kg, mix with fine sand 20kg, and sprinkle into the grass. (3) during the peak period of adult damage, 2.5% trichlorfon powder was sprayed on wheat seedlings or Achnatherum splendens, with 1.5-2kg per 667m2. Spray again after 10 days to kill the newly hatched nymphs. (4) spray 2.5% bod EC 2500 times if necessary.
