Aixianzhan, a New Conventional Rice Variety

It was identified as the first class rice of national standard by physical and chemical analysis by Food Quality Supervision and Inspection Center of Ministry of Agriculture (Wuhan), breaking through the zero record of the first class rice variety of national standard quality in our province. It is reported that this variety is early-maturing, late-maturing, temperature-sensitive indica rice. In 2002, late-cropping rice was tested in provinces and regions. Ai Xianzhan, a new conventional rice variety with both good quality and high yield, which was bred by Yueyezhan 21 / Yuanxian Zhan hybrid, was identified as national standard high quality first class rice by physical and chemical analysis of Food quality Supervision, Inspection and testing Center of Ministry of Agriculture (Wuhan). It breaks through the zero record of national standard high-quality first-class rice varieties in our province.

It is reported that this variety is early mid-maturing, late-cropping early-maturing, temperature-sensitive indica rice. In the provincial regional test in 2002, the average yield per mu was 383.29 kg, which was 3.54% higher than that of the control japonica indica 89 mu, an increase of 3.54%, an increase of 13.12kg per mu, and an increase of 15.74 yuan (the same price). In terms of rice quality, according to the physical and chemical analysis of the Food quality Supervision, Inspection and testing Center of the Ministry of Agriculture (Wuhan), the main physical and chemical indexes are as follows: head rice rate 59.5%, chalky grain rate 4%, chalkiness 0.4%, amylose content 17.32%. Gel consistency 79 mm, physicochemical score 70 points. The rice grain is 6.5 mm in length, 3.3 in length to width, 2 in transparency, good in crystal appearance, good in cooking and good in food taste. it is the first-class high-quality rice of the national standard, which is the only new variety identified in the regional test of our province in recent years. Guangdong Grain and Oil products quality Supervision and Inspection Station identified the appearance quality as first-class high-quality rice.

In terms of resistance, after inoculation identification, the frequencies of B, medium C and total resistance in rice blast were 74.3%, 59.1% and 69.1% respectively, bacterial blight grade 3 was moderate resistance, and leaf blast and ear blast were identified as grade 5 middle susceptibility in rice blast nursery. No infection of rice blast was found in field production, and sheath blight was mild in the field. It shows strong cold resistance, lodging resistance and fertilizer resistance, high seed setting rate and good mature color in the later stage.

According to Liangfanke of the provincial seed terminal, according to the relevant regulations on crop variety approval, Ai Xianzhan will continue to participate in the provincial variety regional test later this year, and if all aspects meet the standards, it is expected to pass the examination and approval as soon as next year.
