Prevention and treatment of calf forestomach relaxation
Forestomach bradycardia is a disease caused by decreased excitability and contractility of forestomach nerves, and feed can not be digested and moved backward in the forestomach, so fermentation spoilage produces toxic substances, causing digestive disorders and systemic disorders.
1. The cause.
It is mainly due to too much concentrate and insufficient roughage; feed single or excessive feeding of coarse fodder rich in crude fiber, indigestible straw, withered hay, bran and other coarse fodder; long-term over-feeding of grass powder, boiled into paste root and dregs feed, so that the ruminant machine can be weakened; feed rotten and moldy and frozen feed. In addition, long-distance transportation, overwork, sudden changes in feeding system and feed, lack of minerals and trace elements, improper tooth wear, physical weakness and so on can promote the occurrence of the disease.
two。 Clinical symptoms.
There was no significant change in body temperature, pulse and respiration. The first manifestation of loss of appetite, do not eat concentrate or addiction, and then completely refuse to eat, rumination reduced or stopped, belching with sour, salivation, bad breath and tongue coating, around the nostrils and nasal mirror often adhere to unclean grass foams and secretions. The rumen was soft, sometimes with a small amount of accumulated food and mild flatulence, auscultation, the number of rumen and valvular peristalsis decreased, the sound was weak, the peristaltic sound disappeared and the intestinal sound weakened in severe cases. The stool was dry, dark and covered with mucus. after 2-3 days, the gastrointestinal contents were fermented and spoiled, irritating the intestinal mucosa, resulting in sour and rotten diarrhea. Rumen fluid examination showed that the number of ciliates decreased significantly and was sour. If you eat a large amount of protein feed, it will be alkaline. If the stomach contents decompose to produce toxins to be absorbed, systemic symptoms occur, milk production drops sharply, and secondary gastroenteritis occurs. The symptom characteristics of chronic forestomach relaxation: frequent repeated attacks, good and jet lag of appetite; gradual reduction of food intake, gradual weight loss of diseased cattle, rough coat and reverse standing; finally, enophthalmos, gait relaxation and weakness, anemia and other failure symptoms. Primary forestomach dyspnea, timely treatment is generally 2-4 days to recover, if not timely treatment, too long delay can become chronic. Secondary anterior gastric dyspnea, the prognosis depends on the primary disease.
3. Prevention and treatment.
The treatment principle of this disease is to excite gastric peristalsis, stop corruption and fermentation, accelerate the elimination of contents, promote the recovery of appetite and regurgitation.
At the beginning of the disease, they fasted for 1-2 days, and then they were given digestible and nutritious feed, such as grass, high-quality hay and chopped root feed.
Increase forestomach peristalsis function, can use forestomach stimulant, such as nux vomit tincture 15ml 30ml, spit tartar 4g 8g, spit root tincture 20ml 30ml, and add rhubarb tincture, gentian tincture, dilute hydrochloric acid and other internal administration. It can also be injected subcutaneously with 0.1% carbamyl bile solution 3ml and 5ml.
For those with a long course of disease and serious illness, in addition to the above-mentioned drugs, in order to restore the normal function of the central nervous system, 10% Ambromine injection 100ml 150ml intravenous injection, once a day, for 4-5 days.
In order to stop the excessive fermentation of stomach contents and remove stomach contents, magnesium sulfate 300 ml 500 ml, add 25 grams of fish fat, alcohol 100 ml, warm water 500 ml mixed oral administration.
In addition to the above treatment, gastric lavage can be used for chronic anterior gastric dyspnea.
Traditional Chinese medicine treatment. Codonopsis pilosula, Atractylodes macrocephala, peeling, wood incense 30 grams each, malt, Shenqu, ginger 60 grams each, take orally at the end of research. According to the spleen and stomach deficiency cold or damp-heat, the appropriate increase in cardamom, Amomum villosum, gentian, wormwood and so on.
In terms of prevention, it is mainly to improve feeding management, reasonable service, adequate vitamin and mineral feed and proper exercise.

Two cloned pigs were successfully born through the project. The cloned pig was born on July 14, 2002 using cloned somatic cells. The world's first successfully cloned pig was born in March 2000 at the PPL Institute in the United States. The team now intends to develop mutant pigs by tweaking genes.
