Last Updated: 2024/11/05, Paralysis is a common disease in live pigs, especially in winter and spring, especially in sows. Once the diagnosis of the disease is wrong, the use of drugs is not correct, often resulting in prolonged treatment, resulting in the weakness and death of sick pigs. In the treatment of thousands of paralysis cases, Chen Hongyi, an old veterinarian, used Chinese veterinary diagnostic technology to observe the clinical manifestations of diseased pigs in detail, find out the cause of the disease, properly choose the empirical prescription, and then prescribe the right medicine to the case. According to many farmers, the paralyzed pigs diagnosed and treated by him not only have a high cure rate, but also have a short course of treatment and low drug costs.

1. Cold-damp type

Pigs in cold and humid weather, due to poor warm conditions of the enclosure, suffered wind-cold damage, and the blood circulation of pigs was blocked and paralyzed. The symptom is that the sick pig walks slightly at the beginning, likes to take small steps, likes to bow, can't stand up when it is serious, and has a great loss of appetite.

Square 1. Before operation, the pig will lie on its side in Baoding, and take a small wide needle (if not, it can be made with 16 # stainless steel wire with a length of 13-14 cm, and the needle tip is required to be in the shape of melon seeds. Skillful needle "Yongquan" (in the seam of the hoof and fork, one point in each limb, a total of four points) and "Yutang" (on both sides of the midline of the third edge of the palate in the pig's mouth, one point on the left and one point on the right, a total of two acupoints), until the vinegar blood is released and the bright red blood flows out. When needling the "Yongquan" point, the performer holds the needle in his right hand, pinches the hoof shell upward in the left hand, points the needle at the "Yongquan" acupoint, cuts obliquely into the "Yongquan" point 1-1.5 cm deep, withdraws the needle from the bloodletting, and gradually finishes the needling at each acupoint. When needling the "Yutang" acupoint, the operator holds the mouth opener after disinfection in his left hand. (if there is no mouth opener, it can be replaced by a wooden stick with a thickness of 5-6 cm and a length of 30-40 cm.) the pig mouth is opened, and the small wide needle after disinfection is obliquely pierced into a depth of 1 cm from the corner of the mouth with the right hand. You can see the blood flow out.

Square 4. Take Angelica, Achyranthes bidentata, safflower, pine joint, Nianjie, papaya, cassia twig each 25 grams after frying and filling.

Fang 7: take Dahuoluodan 1 pill, add 50ml of wine and mix evenly, add appropriate amount of cold boiled water, and then feed it for 5-6 times.

2. Metabolic disorder

Most of this type is caused by improper feed and lack of sunlight in pig houses, which makes pigs paralyzed due to lack of calcium, phosphorus and vitamins. Symptoms are unwillingness to stand up and exercise at the beginning of the disease, love to bite grooves, walls, soil and other foreign bodies, severe joint swelling, limbs, head deformation, ribs bending inward, flat and narrow on both sides of the profile.

Square 1. Use vitamin glue butyrate calcium 3-5 ml, once intramuscular injection, every 3 days, then press the same amount of intramuscular injection, and add 4-5 grams of bone powder or eggshell powder to the daily feed for 10-15 days, the curative effect is excellent.

Square 3. Once with cod liver oil 5ml, calcium tablets 6-8 tablets mixed with feed, continuous feeding 2-3 times.

III. External injury type

Paralysis often occurs due to the injury of bones or tendons by external forces such as falling rocks and collisions. The sick pig suddenly couldn't afford to lie down and ate less.

Broken limb. The diseased pig can be fixed in the grid column first, and the operator will slowly pinch and connect the fracture site, then take four pieces of bamboo of suitable length and stick them on the folded limb and fasten them tightly with bandages, and then take 15 grams each of trigonous, literary, safflower, safflower, cassia twig, 12 grams of Panax notoginseng, 12 grams of bone wood, 12 grams of Radix Achyranthes bidentata, 10 grams of Achyranthes bidentata and 10 grams of licorice, total fried water, add wine for irrigation, and even feed 2-3 doses.
