Last Updated: 2024/11/05, With abnormal climate change in late autumn and large temperature difference between day and night, enterotoxic syndrome characterized by diarrhea, undigested feed in feces, decreased feed intake, slow growth, weight loss and dehydration often occurred in broilers and laying hens. After the autopsy of the sick and dead chicken, it was found that there was brain fluid in the head, red thymus, swelling of the duodenum, thickening of the intestinal wall, very hard intestinal wall when touched by hand, no feed in the intestinal tube, and a large amount of intestinal mucous membrane shedding. Some intestinal segments have foam-like substances and tomato-like feces, and the gallbladder becomes small and yellowish.

The main measures to prevent the spread of the disease are isolation of diseased chickens, elimination of residual chickens, removal of bedding and thorough disinfection. For sick chickens, Qiujing and ribavirin can be used to drink water, twice a day in the morning and evening, electrolyte water at noon for 3-5 days, and Suibu14 for two consecutive days after improvement, so as to restore the chickens to a good mental state. In order to prevent the occurrence of the disease, in addition to keeping the chicken house dry and hygienic, and regularly disinfecting chickens with disinfectants or regularly mixing disinfectants in the gravel of supplementary feeding, it is also necessary to deworming regularly to prevent the occurrence of colibacillosis and coccidiosis. In addition, it is found that chicken diarrhea should not be easily diagnosed as enteritis and simply use drugs for the treatment of enteritis, resulting in intestinal flora imbalance and intestinal mucosal damage.
