Cotton chemical control is fastidious.

Last Updated: 2024/11/06, In recent years, with the widespread application of insect-resistant cotton, plastic film mulching and chemical control technology, cotton farmers have some bad cultivation tendency in cotton cultivation technology, especially in chemical control technology (hereinafter referred to as chemical control). If we do not pay attention to timely and appropriate chemical control, the cotton field will grow excessively, the vegetative growth is too prosperous, and the buds, flowers and bolls fall off seriously, which eventually leads to the formation of high, large and empty cotton plants, and serious lodging in the later stage of wind and rain, resulting in great losses. In chemical control, we should aim to stabilize the shelf of high yield, increase buds and protect bolls, and master the "look at the sky, the earth and the seedlings".

In recent years, with the widespread application of insect-resistant cotton, plastic film mulching and chemical control technology, cotton farmers have some bad cultivation tendency in cotton cultivation technology, especially in chemical control technology (hereinafter referred to as chemical control).

In chemical control, the goal should be to stabilize the shelf of high yield, increase buds and protect bolls, grasp the principle of "looking at the sky, the earth and the seedlings", and use plant regulators timely and appropriately on the basis of the daily growth of the main stem of cotton. Master the method of "a small amount for many times, light control and diligent control, light in front and heavy in back". Active chemical control should be adopted to ensure the robust growth of cotton plants. According to the characteristics of cotton varieties and the growth situation of cotton plants at that time, the times of chemical control should be inferred in the near future and grasped flexibly. Judging from the growth of cotton at that time, it was possible to control or not to control, and chemical control was not necessary when it was too dry; if it had to be controlled, it would be too late to control it. This is the difference between active chemical control and passive chemical control. Bud stage is the key period of shaping plant type, less medication, good effect, we must start the first chemical control, if the seedling growth is too prosperous, the first chemical control should be in advance.

The problems that should be paid attention to in the process of chemical control: 1. Chemical regulators are different from fertilizers and pesticides, and can not replace fertilizers and pesticides. 2. Chemical regulators are not easy to use in cotton fields with insufficient water sources and poor soil fertility, and the cotton fields with weak growth are not easy to use. Strengthen fertilizer and water management in cotton fields with chemical regulation technology to prevent drought or lack of fertilizer. 3, in the whole cotton growth process, the implementation of chemical adjustment technology should grasp the principle of a small number of times, to prevent chemical control too much or produce key points. 4. the spraying of growth regulators should be carried out after 4 o'clock in the afternoon on a sunny day. Spray again in case of moderate rain 8 hours after spraying. 5. Because the main purpose of chemical control is to control the growth point of cotton, the cotton varieties with warped fruit branches and medium length are sprayed with capping in this period, and the growing points of fruit branches are properly controlled for the varieties with longer and spreading fruit branches.
