Propagation of Taxus mairei
Choose a suitable nursery to choose fertile, loose, neutral or slightly acidic soil with good drainage, preferably in woodland or semi-shaded fertile land. Apply enough base fertilizer, rake flat, and prepare the bed for planting.
The seeds matured in October and were harvested in time and placed in the mixture of water and fine sand (water / sand ratio 2 ∶ 1). Rub the seeds on the washboard, remove the seed coat, and wear the hard meat seed coat. The dry land without stagnant water and digging pits were selected and stored in the pits mixed with wet river sand at the ratio of 1 ∶ 2. In March of the following year, the clean seeds were taken out, soaked in 50 degree liquor and 40 ℃ warm water (1 ∶ 1) for 20 minutes, and then soaked in 0.05% 92 ○ for 20 hours for 24 hours, in order to break dormancy and increase the emergence rate. At the end of March, it was moved into the greenhouse to accelerate germination, and the temperature required 20: 25 ℃. When the seeds were "white", they could be sown on demand.
Sowing and transplanting make the border 1m wide and long. Sow the seeds in the border to cover 2.5 cm of soil, pour through the water and cover the film. The germinated seeds can also be sown on demand in the border covered with plastic film, with a row spacing of 20 cm and a plant spacing of 10 cm. Generally, seedlings can emerge in 20-30 days. When the seedlings grow 3-4 leaves, seedlings in cloudy days are selected for transplanting, with row spacing of 20 cm and plant spacing of 10 cm. Watering, ploughing, weeding and promoting growth after planting. Due to the slow growth of yew, the most afraid of strong light, proper shading is conducive to growth. Generally, the seedlings of the same year can reach 10 cm to 15 cm, the highest to 20 cm, the 2-year-old seedlings to 50 cm and the 4-year-old seedlings to 1.5 cm high.
The semi-lignified branches of the same year were cut as cuttings from May to June every year, and the mother tree was less than 10 years old. The length is 15 × 20 cm, the lower branchlets are cut off and the needles are cut into horseshoe shape, and then soaked in ABT7 rooting powder. The concentration is 30 × 10-6 × 50 × 10-6, and the soaking time is 3 × 12 hours. The cuttings were then inserted into a seedbed with a substrate of river sand. The seedbed requires a width of 1 meter, a suitable length and a cutting depth of 3-5 cm. The distance between rows and plants is 10cm × 8cm, and then spray water. Set up a frame on the seedbed and cover it with plastic sheet. spray water 2 or 3 times a day, and once a day after half a month. Generally, the ground temperature can be kept at 20: 30 ℃ without strong light, and it can take root in 30 to 40 days. During this period, foliar fertilizers such as brassin can be sprayed to promote growth.
When the seedlings take root, fine management promotes growth, and properly ventilates and transparently refines seedlings to increase stress resistance. After the finishing of refining seedlings, they can be transplanted on the big seedling bed.
The seedlings generally grow in the seedling bed for 2 ~ 3 years and are carefully managed by spraying auxin and foliar fertilizer at regular intervals every year. When the height of the seedling is 50cm to 100cm, it can be planted in the mountain. The planting time is either late autumn or spring, and the row spacing can be 3 meters × 4 meters. It can also be planted in streets, parks and ornamental trees.
