Last Updated: 2024/11/05, The branches of the stump bonsai will inevitably be damaged, and even affect the shape of the branches. Effective measures can be taken to bring the injured branches back to life or restore them to their original state. As long as the branch is not completely broken, even if only about half of the bark is connected, it is possible to be saved. First, carefully anastomose the fracture of the residual branch together, and then take a section of medium iron wire which exceeds the length of the fracture, and then tie one end of the wire to the end of the broken branch connected with the parent body, and the other end to the end of the anastomosed branch (if the broken branch is a curved branch, the wire should be bent to adapt to the broken branch during operation.

Effective measures can be taken to bring the injured branches back to life or restore them to their original state. As long as the branch is not completely broken, even if only about half of the bark is connected, it is possible to be saved.

First, carefully anastomose the fracture of the residual branch together, and then take a section of medium iron wire that exceeds the length of the fracture, and then tie one end of the wire to the end of the broken branch connected with the mother, and the other end to the end of the anastomosed branch (if the broken branch is a curved branch, it is appropriate to bend the wire to adapt to the broken branch). After binding and positioning, according to the proportion of 3 parts of moss and 7 parts of mountain mud, mix well with diluted vitamin B12 solution and apply it to the anastomosis. Always drench water to maintain humidity and keep it in a cool, ventilated place. If the damaged branch is slightly damaged, it does not hinder the growth of the branch and does not affect the overall shape, it can be healed naturally, or it can be bandaged directly with hemp rope.

The healing period is also different with different tree species and different degree of injury. After 1 to 3 months of maintenance, after the broken branch wound has basically healed, the stump bonsai can be moved to the original place, and the package can be removed after half a year after normal cultivation.
