Blueberry, the current market price is relatively high, do you know how to grow blueberries? Do you want to know how to grow blueberries yourself? Let's take a look at how blueberries are planted and managed, and what is the environment in which they grow.

Blueberry planting environment: like light and afraid of the sun, like acidic soil, like fat and afraid of burning roots.

How blueberries are grown and managed:

1. Choose a sunny shelter. Although blueberries can withstand shadows, they can get better crops in the sun. Blueberries thrive in acidic soil. The pH value of soil should be between 4 and 5 ideally. The soil can be acidified by mixing a small amount of granular sulfur into the soil a few months before planting. Peat moss, as well as pine bark or needles, are also good additives to help acidify the soil.

2. Blueberry is a kind of shallow root plant. Therefore, it needs a soil that can retain moisture, and it is well drained and will not remain moist. Mix organic matter into the soil before setting up blueberry bushes. Shrubs should be planted as early as possible in spring. If any, 1-to 3-year-old plants are a good choice.

3. The hole is about 20 inches deep and 18 inches wide (about twice the width and depth of the plant root). The space bushing is about 5 feet continuous and at least 8 feet between lines. Prepare two portions of fertile soil and one mixture of oak leaf mold, peat moss, old sawdust or compost, and place a layer of the mixture at the bottom of the hole. Spread the roots of the shrubs in the bushes. Don't plant any shrubs deeper than shrubs. Punch holes tightly with the soil.

4. Fertilize one month after planting, not when planting. Apply 10-10-10 ounces of fertilizer to the strip around the plant 6 to 12 inches from the crown. Keep the soil moist. In the north, blueberry containers are moved across the reserve or covered with straw or wrapped in burlap.

Now that you know how blueberries are grown, try planting them yourself.
